How many cans of soda do you drink a day?

How many cans of soda/pop do you drink a day? And what kind?
Any bad results if you don’t get your fix?
I love Diet Coke - drink about 2 cans a day.

God bless the makers of Diet Coke. No big deal if I don’t get it but if I have a craving for it, I will stop and little to get it.

Tibs

I drink about 2 cans of any kind of iced tea. I love that stuff so much!

Hehehe I get to brag. I don’t drink any cans of soda a day. It’s either milk, water, or oj for me.

About a million.

Um … seriously, I’ve never kept track but it has to be more than a six pack per day. I don’t drink coffee or tea, so Coke is my “wake me up” in the morning, a can at home, and then another can first thing at the office. Then, a can with lunch, and usually another in the afternoon. Good grief, the more I type the worse this sounds. I should buy stock.

If I don’t have it, I get the caffeine withdrawl headache that coffee drinkers sometimes report.

Coke is the mainstay, but for a treat, I’ll have just about anything, orange, Dr Pepper, ginger ale, root beer etc. I’m on a big birch beer kick right now, because our neighborhood store just started carrying it.

Growing up, my mom was big into healthy snacks, so we always had to have fruit or granola or something equally unappealing to us. But she has a big time monkey on her back in the form of Pepsi-Cola, so she couldn’t really stop us from having pop in light of her own six bottle a day habit.

If you include slurpee as equivalent by volume, I must average 6 cans a day, this in addition to a couple cans of my favorite, Dr. Pepper.

None. That stuff is liquid candy. It’s milk, water, and juice all the way for me, too.

I only drink pop at parties since I quit serious drinking. I drink coffee and water and Tazo tea (guess my Tazo of choice and win 60 hours of Free AOL!).

I’m Ashley. And I was a Coke(a-cola) addict.

If you start having the drink so much that you get caffeine-withdrawl afterwards–not a good sign. I only have them on ‘special-occasion’ deals.

When I do get 'em–my favorite is a deal that I’ve seen at a local pizza place called ‘Dr. Slice’. Fantastic stuff.

Or if you’re in a ‘different’ sorta mood–it’s always nice to get a nice glass of regular Pepsi or Coke at a restauraunt and add a few servings of “Half-and-Half” from those little plastic complimentary creamers.

Cream-soda! Made fresh! It’s delicious!

This is really bad but… usually about 10. Sometimes I’ll drink a 12 pack and a half. I need to have a drink next to me at all times, and I drink it almost non-stop. I get really antsy if I don’t have a drink.
I drink diet coke. Every other soda is too sweet. Can’t drink iced tea or water or juice or anything. It doesnt have the little carbonation bubbles to ‘burn’ my throat and keep me from gulping it constantly, so I drink it until my stomach starts to hurt really bad.

i’m weird, i guess.

There was a time when a tooth submerged in a bottle of cola would end up as a dark tinted precipitate looking mess after about a month or so. C cola’s base formulation is not all that different now. A woman who worked in a bottling plant and admitted to drinking tremendous quantities over the years, had the most unusually reshaped teeth one could imagine. Dentistry had never become her friend.

Admittedly different times but, would anyone consider testing this with a maybe a chicken bone, then reporting back.

What the hell is POP???

I mostly drink Orange Juice or Water or Milk. Barely ever milk though unless I am eating cereal. Mmmmmmmm cereal…

I like my OJ Not From Concentrate with Lots of Pulp and added Calcium. Boy, that’s the stuff. I drink a whole carton at a time!!!

Usually if I am drinking something out of a can, it is Hawaiian Punch. I love that stuff too!!!

Beakman did this!!! The chicken bone sat for a day or two and it was very rubbery! Not a black mass of precipitate- still a chicken bone. But not hard at all. Very soft and flexible. He did it with a tooth too. Same effect. Not sure what happens after a month or so, but I would assume the results you heard of are correct.
Not that I think this should scare someone away from drinking Pepsi or anything. I mean, who keeps his drink in his mouth for over a month???

Cumulative effect might be the key here.

The bone experiment is traditionally done with vinegar I believe. Similar but different.

I drink about one can of soda a week

I usually drink about 2 liters of Cherry Pepsi a day. I love the stuff.

I also drink Dr. Pepper when I can get it, but my friends think I’m weird because I only drink it when it’s luke warm and flat.

It stains them pretty bad, too. :frowning: <holds lips shut firmly>

I drink about six to twelve cans of diet coke every day. If aspartame is ever shown to be harmful if consumed in large quantities, don’t be surprised if I’m involved :D.

Actually, I’ve cut back lately. I used to have a can of Diet Coke with me constantly. Now, my soda intake is down to a 20oz that I drink on until about 1pm at work. Some days I get a can in the afternoon, but usually I grab a bottle of water during lunch. Then I open 1 can when I get home and that’s it for the day.

When my consumption was at it’s peak, I bet I went through 9-12 cans a day, since I was constantly buying 12 packs.

Every day on the way to work (12Hr. shift) I pick up a 2Liter and 2 1Liter real Cokes, plus in the summer a 20oz to drink on the way.

I tell people that the bad news is I am strung out on coke and the good news is that it’s legal!

Peace
LIONsob

At least six cans of Coca-Cola Classic per day.

You may not know this but if you put a worm in a glass of water, the worm will live. If you put a worm in a glass of Coke, the worm will die.

The moral is: If you drink Coke, you will never have worms.
