Here’s an honest question: what’s “a snort?” I’ve heard the term in regards to taking a sip, a snifter, a pull, a taste, a “wee dram” or a shot of a whiskey. What exactly is ‘a snort’?

I do know that a few snorts will make ‘a buzz.’ Too many will make “a drunk.”

The US does not use Imperial measure; it uses US Customary measure. Not the same thing, at least for units of volume. So 3.8 US craploads = 1 US butt load, but 4.5 Imperial craploads = 1 imperial butt load However US and Imperial butt loads are within 5% of each other, at 2.45 metric butt loads and 2.5 metric butt loads respectively. This just means that the Imperial butt is bigger than the US butt no doubt due to the amount of history involved.
