Another one with the guitar picks. They fit so nicely in there. Also, if I have to take out an earring for some random reason, it goes in there.
My MP3 player fits there perfectly - run the earphone cord up through a jacket and you’re good to go for the day.
A folded up three pack of condoms fits quite well
I also stuff bus transfers and light rail tickets in there so I can get to them quickly.
Otherwise, occasional candy wrappers go in there if there’s no trash recepticle handy.
I don’t think I’ve ever put coins OR a watch in that pocket.
I use it for rarely carried items, like keys to my mom’s house when I need to go check on her.
The other time I use it is for a stash of easily accessible quarters when I’m doing that time-dependant spray car wash thing.
It’s actually useful for me. I put my college ID in there, and it never falls out and it’s quick for me to pull it out when I’m going to eat or when I get stopped by suspicious campus police.
Pocket knife. Quite handy to get to for work.
I used the watch pocket to hold extra hair-ties.
Now that I’ve cut my hair, I pretty much don’t use that pocket anymore.
I accidentally put stuff in there and then wonder where the hell it went.
Dude! How can some of these things fit in the fifth pocket?! I’m hearing cell phones (and I literally made the ‘eek’ face, minus blue colouring, at that one), college IDs, etc, and I’m just amazed. My fifth pocket on the jeans that I own can hold a tube of Burts Bees (man, thanks for the idea!), and that’s it.
Zippo lighter - just the right size to hold it snugly in place. I no longer keep mine in my coat pocket, ever since my last one slipped out and got lost somewhere.
I used to use the watch pocket for my pocket watch, until I got a cell phone which tells time anyway. So I put the cell phone in my bigger pocket, leave the watch at home, and use the watch pocket for my keys (so they don’t scratch up my phone).
I’ve been known to put a used condom or two in there if unable to find adequate disposal means.
THE ENVIRONMENT RULES!! PEACE OUT!!
Well, in 4th hour at school–the hour before lunch–I stick $2 in my actual pockets. Then I go get lunch, and if I have change, I stick it in the change pocket till I get a chance to put it in my wallet.
yeah
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING graces that pocket but my lovely pocketwatch. I don’t know what I’d do without it…
It’s one that I got dirt cheap from K-mart but I love it dearly.
It has a glow in the dark face, which is nice for when I’m developing photos in the darkroom and only have one dry finger with which to pull the watch out by its chain and check the time.
