How Many Sci Fi Sounds Can You Recognize?

I got a 100, thanks to some lucky guesses. There’s a couple of “gimmie’s” in it, but some of them you really have to know your obscure stuff to get. (Or guess right, like I did.)

Smartass.

I got 86.

  1. And I didn’t appreciate it telling me “You’re an extreme sci-fi geek! You’re probably wearing your very own homemade TRON costume right now!”

It’s not a TRON costume. It’s Cary Fisher’s metallic bikini from Return of the Jedi, thank you very much.

  1. But I am not a sci-fi fan, so that’s much better than I expected. I think I made some good guesses based solely on the apparent age of the sound clip. I’m sure I’ve never heard most of those first-hand.

Never mind Carrie Fisher’s bikini. I’m partial to Jane Fonda’s outfit in Barbarella.

How can you tell which one you missed? My husband got 92 points just by listening, without even seeing the title possibilities.

It flashed up RIGHT or WRONG in teeny little bitty sneaky letters after each answer.
stupid test…

93, which seems strange if others are reporting 92. I suspect a rounding error.

Question 11 has an error:Majel Barrett as the voice of the ship’s computer was a fixture of Star Trek: The Next Generation, not Star Trek, and even if she did the voice on some original-series episodes, the “personnel locator” function wasn’t introduced until the later series

Ah, ok - he got #13 wrong, the one about the very different time reference.

No. She was always the voice of Federation starships, even in the original Trek. That said, it was obviously a later series due to the lifelike tone of voice.

100; no hesitation.

  1. At least I’m not alone in being a complete geek.

Eh. 85. There are a couple of the older films I never saw.

  1. Fun quiz.

My pal!

You and me three

Umm, 42. I don’t think I’ve seen any of those movies/shows. Except for a few episodes of Star Trek.

D00d! You got the perfect score!

I didn’t recognize the self-destruct warning.

The right/wrong thing flashed by too quickly for me to be able to tell you which I missed.
