How much do cigarettes cost in your town?

Philadelphia: ~$5 for name brands like Camel and Marlboro

$40.01 for a carton of Marlboro here. I don’t know what individual packs cost – probably a buckfitty more. I signed up at the website and regularly get coupons in the mail for $3 off a carton.

I’m pretty sure all across Japan it’s $2.80-$3.20 for anything. Actually with the dollar down and the yen up, make that $3-$3.40ish.

US$4.56 a pack at the local drug store (Longs).

Iqaluit: $14 CAD a pack

Southern Ontario, Canada:

Name brands: $8.50/pack (king size), $68/carton.
Cheap brands: $7.50/pack (king size), $58/carton.

$50 XCD a carton - that’s about $20 US for 200

Central WA state: ~$65/carton (Marlboro). Since I don’t buy by the pack, I don’t know what the markup is currently.

Native smokes , 14 bucks for 200

Have no idea what the retail is anymore.

Declan

Bandung, Indonesia.
Packet of Marlboro’s = USD 0.83
Dji Sam Soe Premium (In my opinion Indonesia’s finest clove cigarettes) = USD 1.20

Iceland: around 600 ISK = $ 4,4 for a pack of Marlboro’s

Whoa, which reservation is this? I’m gettin’ the native stuff (Putter’s Light) for $30/carton.

Carton of Marlboro Medium 100’s, $28.35 last time I bought it.

At the gas station Marlboros are just under $5 (not sure exactly, but if I bring a 5 in, I get change) Camels are probably 50¢ cheaper. At a supermarket add a dollar.

But, if I happen to be near the indian owned casion about 2 hours from my house, they’re even cheaper since I don’t think they have to pay certain taxes on them. I want to say a pack of Marlboros is closer to $4.

€8.05 for a pack. That’s ~$10.

£5.70 - $8.43

roughly $3.70 for Marlboros but some places over/undercharge

Alberta: $11 CAD a pack

Yemen: ~$8 a carton for name brand. No, I don’t smoke, but I asked a few days ago because my stepson does.

In Atlanta, GA:

Around $3-4 per pack of a name brand varying by location, but some places have a volume discount when you buy 3 packs or more.

When I was staying at a hostel in London I was lamenting the extremely high cost of cigarettes to a bloke in the pub. He told me to go across the square to one of the small market/convenince stores and say to the clerk “cheap cigarettes.” The clerk would then proceed to reach under the counter and sell me what I assumed were illegally imported marlboro lights. I assumed so because all the writing on the pack was in arabic except Marlboro Lights. The price dropped from around $10US to $5US.
