How much is gas where you live?

Pueblo, CO
$1.09 down the street, $1.03 at Sam’s Club, from $1.59-$1.65 before.

1.05 last fillup in Central California.

Reg: $1.32, Premium: $1.42, Hightest: $1.52.

That’s in South Florida, by the way. Fort Pierce.

Rural Victoria, Australia. Yesterday it was 89 AU-cents/litre (I think there are 4 litres to the gallon). A week ago, it was down to about 79 AU-c/l, but that was some weird anomoly. We pay about 10 AU-c/l more than Melbourne people.

If we use the formula 4 litres = 1 gallon, and $AU2.00 = $US1.00, then we pay about $US1.80/gallon at the moment. It’s been up over $US2.00/gallon in recent months.

Regular unleaded (87 octane) is $1.119 at Hess and $1.059 at Costco (where I filled up tonight). Super unleaded (93 octane) is something like $1.259.

This past weekend I was in Elkton, MD and regular was 0.999 per gallon with super unleaded at $1.059. I’m waiting for that price to move northwest. Once it reaches here I’ll let the Cadillac idle in the driveway all night so it’s warm and toasty inside when I go to work in the morning.

Zap!

$1.15 at a Fina in Richardson, TX. It’s probably several cents cheaper at the less expensive stations like Racetrack, though.

$.91 in Ashland, Virginia

Down about 5 miles south (outer skirts of Richmond), it’s at $.93

Inside the city, I’ve seen an average of about .95-.99

Eastport, Maine $1.38 at the Irving; in Pembroke, about 15 miles, $1.35 and at the cheapest place in my area $1.33. After reading all these posts I see the gas here in the boonies is as expensive as in Northern California, where it is notoriously high.

64.9 cents/liter in my area of Saskatchewan, Canada.
As of this summer we were one of the cheapest provinces…I have no idea about now, though.

I saw 88 cents in Atlanta, GA when I was there.

In New Jersey, just across the bridge from Philadelphia, regular unleaded is $.95…

and by law, they HAVE to pump it for you.
Now that’s the best bargain anywhere.

Chicago. I paid 1.17/gal two days ago. Down from a high of about 2.03 in May. Average gas price here is about 1.22/gal.

The good news is that based on OPEC and other oil producers, the prices should continue to drop. Oil below $20.00/barrel for the remainder of the winter is the trend we are currently looking at. Yipee!

Columbia, MO. I saw $1.01 regular, $1.04 super at a station yesterday. I should probably fill up before the weekend.

Houston - coupla’ places now advertise .99/gal.

As a geologist I hate to see the flux. We expect bonuses one year and pink slips the next.

Averaging .97 to .99/gallon here. Looked pretty much the same when I was in Tulsa last weekend.

Panama City, Panama: $1.60 a gallon. Down from up to $2.14/gallon a few months ago.

San Juan, Puerto Rico: Various Shell or Gulf stations, regular unleaded 89 octane, 27.9 U.S. cents/litre, = US$1.05.5/USGal self-serve.

Dublin, Ireland

£0.61 per litre, which works out at about $2.43 per gallon.

Just as well we can’t drive to far in a straight line without falling off the edge.

[monty python]lucky, lucky bastards[/monty python]

well, what the fuck? why are we paying $1.39 in northern Nevada? it was hovering around $1.50 for the last few months, and i thought i was getting off cheap at $1.39 till i read this!

semi-related note: the cheapest gas around my parts is at this little place run by…ummmm, well, how do i say this nicely? run by…well, lets say guys that might be mistaken for hijackers. anyway, my blessed jeep broke down near thier place of business and i was hanging around waiting for a buddy to tow me home, and i watched these guys short change about every third customer! usually a nickle or dime, sometimes a quarter, and they would get pissed when the customer brought it to thier attention and made them open the drawer back up to give them thier money! i really wonder how many folks didn’t bother to look and just shoved the change in thier pockets…

i thought about it for a minute. lure the customers in with the cheapest price, then short change them all a dime. average a ten gal. purchase and this is about a penny a gal higher price, but it is not reported as income, therefor tax free!

note: i witnessed this last summer and again a few weeks later when i stopped there, but i made sure i counted my change when the got the guy in line ahead of me. i bet they havent pulled this shit much lately…

this should probably be its own thread?
