I guess I fall into the category of people who just don’t get the whole concept of expensinve watches.
I understand the whole expensive-watch-as-part-of-the-uniform thing for certain professions, but I don’t belong to any of those types of professions so it’s just out of character for me.
I have two watches – a $20 Carriage (a Timex sub-brand I think) I bought at Kohls 5 years ago and a $40 Timex Ironman (a gift) that I wear the rest of the time. Not being a fan of jewelry, I don’t get the whole watch-as-jewelry thing. For me, it’s just a device for telling time.
Plus, I lost my favorite watch when I was a kid and I must have been scarred by the incident ever since because I just can’t spend a lot of money on something I might lose – that goes for watches, sunglasses, etc.
I JUST discovered this watch today. I want one badly. I saw it sitting amongst a display of Hamiltons in the local jewelry store. Jet black face and band, silver accents. I’d prefer the one with the three inset faces, I think, but I’ll take what I can get.
They want $500 for it. I love that watch. However…I’m a college student, so I’m not likely to get it for a while.
