How Negatively do you view Trump?

I didn’t like him much on The Apprentice but he seems much better suited to the role of President Mxyzptlk he’s playing in his new show. I think it’s really clever the way it is presented as though it’s all real life.

I have literally had to increase my blood pressure medications, thanks to that abomination.

Germany had been an informed, sane, civilized society.

Oh, absolutely! Using a private email server. Shocking!

You didn’t have a positive choice in your poll, so I chose zero. I have learned to isolate my life from political and economic changes, so I wasn’t concerned about the election that much. As I posted elsewhere, on election night mizPullin and I actually hit the sack early figuring we’d find out the winner at breakfast.

Now that the dust has settled, I’m pretty pleased with his actions. I like most of his political appointments, and I’m in favor of severely limiting immigration (with both a wall and a ban on troublesome countries).

I despise dynasties, and am glad we’re no longer trading our nation’s high offices among Bushes and Clintons. I often say (with apologies to Diderot) America’s greatest day will be when the last Bush is strangled in the entrails of the last Clinton. Although I voted Libertarian, I’m pleased with Trump overall, so no negative view from me.

Trump.

I can’t stand the guy. Didn’t vote for him.

But I think much of the criticism of him lately is partisan bullocks. Had Obama temporarily banned travel from these seven countries, everyone on the left would have support him.

Who cares about your hypothetical?

What is partisan is that, in the face of something you ought to have an opinion about, you can’t manage to deliver a real criticism without spending twice as much time criticizing liberals who criticize Trump (by making up a fictitious scenario in which liberals act just as hypocritically as you write them to be).

Some choice words from Trump’s party:

So whatever. Go ahead and make this about liberal hypocrites (made up, no less) over-reacting, but if you think that’s what is worth talking about here, you are in effect standing up for Trump, his administration, and every major fuck-up that they manage to pull off.

Trump et al are not joking around here, and the stakes are high. Pick a position; partisan pot-shots are inappropriate when someone is holding a match to Rome.

Your poll only goes up to 8? I would have said 1,749,322.

I voted 6, as I’m pretty sanguine by nature.

Also, it’s only been a week. The way things are going, I expect he’ll get me up to level 8 by at least Memorial Day.

I came in here expecting to peg the meter but I can’t vote because I am not at all outraged, upset, annoyed, etc. I am disappointed, though.

But I view him quite negatively. I cannot ever imagine having any respect for the guy. He’s a fuckin’ buffoon.

a little bit more every day.

I voted 8, but really, I think I feel that more towards everyone who voted for him, than him. The only difference between Hitler and Trump is Trump doesn’t want to conquer the world, and Hitler genuinely hated Jews. Trump would happily open up concentration camps and gas ovens not because he genuinely hates people, or feels anything for human beings one way or the other, but because his voters keep chanting his name. There is literally nothing he wouldn’t do to hear his name chanted. He’s a narcissistic sociopath accustomed to living in gold-plated palaces completely walled off from reality.

His voters OTOH, genuinely want death and destruction and suffering and to see America burned to the ground because they know that they themselves, will never be kings.

I’m 50 and I think he represents the greatest crisis our nation has faced in my lifetime, much worse than 9/11 or Nixon.

I’ll just quote this asshole.

I opted for 7 (utterly) and not 8 only because he hasn’t declared war on anybody…yet.

This and this.

How about a poll that asks how people now view the USA, because you are the guys that elected him.

Wrong. (The technical term is “hogwash.”)

How many of you 4 or higher voted for Clinton?

How many voted for Trump?

How many stayed home or voted 3rd PP?

Maybe, how temporary? Like say a month, while new security measures were put in place? Maybe.
