How often do you get a haircut

I got my haircut today. It’s been about six months, but that’s a very unusual delay due to laziness and lack of availability of a place to get it done. Normally I get my hair cut every 3 months.

Every 3-4 weeks.

It’s just so stupid as they desperately cast around for something to talk about. So inevitably they pry. I don’t care to discuss my business with strangers!

But what’s worse is I have very long, thin, curly hair. Which, like 99% of stylists have never seen. So they want to cut it. SHORT. And then they style it. BIG. I hate this and insist they only trim and then usually ask them to French braid it so they don’t feel obligated to pouf it up until it’s bigger than my head.

My older daughter is a hairdresser, and periodically she just shows up and cuts it. I don’t think there is a regular frequency, it just happens when she notices I am getting shaggy

I get it when it’s too long, and then wait a few weeks, because my wife doesn’t like it shut. That’s about six months these days.

Mrs. T cuts mt hair about quarterly, I guess. She likes the waves in gets when it’s longer. Bald up front; 19th century Romantic composer in the back!

I keep mine pretty short (#1 guard on the clippers all around, and I’m mostly bald on top anyway) so about every two weeks, either my wife will cut it or I’ll do it myself.

I keep my hair short so it has to be done regularly otherwise it goes into that awkward between lengths bushy look. And now that I’ve started to get the Reed Richards thing going (not bad for almost 49 it was a good run) the grey hair grows faster than the brown. So about every two weeks. 1 on the sides sometimes 0 tapered up and trim the top.

That’s what making stuff up is for!

Every three to six weeks. I’m a dude. I will usually set up an appointment when it starts to look like crap, but I tend to wait too long. (Like now, for example. I have an appointment for Friday afternoon, but I want to drive home and take out the clippers because I can’t stand it. I’ve been obsessing about it for a few days already.) Anyway, since a haircut generally runs me about $50 with the tip, I don’t want to go all that often…but at the same time it’s important to look fabulous!

I’ve been cutting my own hair for almost 16 years so I don’t help much. It was about twice a month when I still had to worry about being in uniform once a month. I leave it a bit longer now so every 3-4 weeks since there’s less of a chia pet effect when you start longer as each hair grows out at different rates.

It’s longer up front giving me a hint of bangs. Those get trimmed a bit to neaten things up in between haircuts when I’m stretching a cut. I didn’t count that.

About every 4-6 months. Get it cut shortish, grow it out longish. Both very low maintenance I sorta like the variation ;).

I get mine cut about, oh, every other month or so, maybe a little more than that? I’m going to get it colored soon, maybe go for highlights or even an ombre?

No, you’re not. Of course, I’ve been going to the same stylist for years, so it’s not really “inane” I suppose.

I wish there was some kind of device you could just stick on your head, select a style, and hey presto, done.
I have short hair and go in every 8-12 weeks or so when it starts to look a bit unruly. I absolutely hate the process even though the place is 2 minutes away, lets you check online before you head over if there is a wait or not, and most of the choppers don’t chatter at you all too much.

You must’ve looked like Otis Sistrunk.

I have not cut or had cut any head hair since 1989.

I seem to eat my mustache hair.

I used to go years between haircuts when I had a full head of hair. After it thinned out to mostly a wide expanse of spotty hair on top, with actual hairy parts on the sides, I started trimming it down to nothing a couple of times a year.

But, much to my wife’s chagrin, I’ve decided that I’m going to full on mad scientist. Someday, I’ll probably have no choice but to be bald, so I’m going to enjoy myself while I can. No more haircuts for me.

Ooh, that would be handy.

About two weeks after I notice it’s getting too long, which works out to every three or four months. Apparently I got a haircut after only 70 days in 2014 though. (That’s when I started going to a place that let’s me book by an app that keeps a record of time since the appointment.

Less than once a year. I keep it long and it grows very slowly at this length. I get my mom or a friend to cut a couple of inches off once a year to keep the split ends tame and it stays between shoulder blades and mid back. I dye it myself so there’s no reason to go to a professional at all.
