so, every day this week, I woke up with a killer headache. WTF is up with that?

Today is car shopping day. I am petrified. I haven’t bought a vehicle since 2004. However, if I intend to remain employed, it is a necessity, so I have no choice, amirite?
I love my huskies, but why do they insist on giving me concert before 6AM?

Today I am wearing what I like to call “Ode to a watermelon” including a bright green shirt and bright pink capris. You might also recognize this as ‘the movers are coming tomorrow and the clothes are already packed’ gear. 
Up, caffeinated, off to Jack Daniels. Life is good.

I presume doggio is heading from Nashville to Lynchburg, about 2 hours down the road, to the Jack Daniels Distillery. I live about an hour away and have been up there 2-3 times in the last 10 years. I would recommend the tour to all MMP’ers, it’s nicely organized and very informative. However, spidey, there are no free samples after the tour…
doggio, are you heading further South after than or returning to Nashville? Huntsville (my place) has the Space and Missile Center and Children’s Science Center which can keep the kids interested and still provide the adults with fascinating stuff.
That was productive - in less than an hour, I raked, cut, pulled up, and dumped 2 big cartloads of wisteria, plus some random leaves that got raked. Then I set up the sprinkler to give a drink to the parched garden by the shed - the poor impatiens may be beyond help.
I’m clean, dressed, and still kinda overheated, despite a cool shower, but a big glass of ice water should help that. I’ve got the munchies, too. Methinks a bowl of cantaloupe chunks will help with that. Of course, that requires me to walk to the kitchen, as Higgs isn’t tall enough to reach the bowls, or even the fridge handle. Worthless dog…
BLURF Humpday already. Why can’t it be Firday. I can’t wait until i can bring my trusty companion back to irk. I miss him. Hang on Lucky Louie.
If this is one of those hockey clubs things, remind everyone for me that the liver is evil and should be punished. And have everyone raise a toast to their Pittsburgh “translator”.

At the moment I’m wearing a white T-shirt and yellow shorts, so I kind of look like an egg. I plan to put on some full-length, non-yellow pants before I go out today, though.

As far as I can tell there should be no petty annoyances today.
However, it’s still early.
We need to make one more trip to the college. If the helpful people there knew what they were talking about everything would be done by now.
FedEx still hasn’t found my package and called again wanting a description of the box. Then I went out on their website and on their site is a… description off the box. It is 46 inches by 20 inches by 7 inches. So if they call me back I can tell them.
It’s nice and cool outside.

Just made a quick run to Food Lion, and now the groceries are unpacked and I’m thinking about what to make for lunch. What an exciting day I’m having.

Nope, just the day trip to Jack Daniels, lunch at Mary Bobos, then back. And they do do tasting tours, for just $10.

Afraid not, red, but outside of a beer or two at ‘social’ events and the very occasional glass of wine when called for, I do partake of ‘spirits’, so probably would decline the offer anyway.
Now if A&W Root Beer would hold tours and offer free samples…
