How old were you when you first married?

I was 22 and he was 27. These soon-to-be-17 years have flown by.

I was 23 and he was 25.

Never have, never will. Don’t believe in it. I’m 44.

  1. He was 29, and we’ve been married 14, together 16.

However, he is a used husband, and in his first marriage he was 23 and she was 34.

24 seems to be so popular. Two more, one for me and one for my now ex-wife.

I was 17 and he was 22. I had to have my Mom sign a paper allowing me to get married. She didn’t want to do it but I told her I’d run away if she didn’t. Oh yeah I was mature enough for marriage.

No, not a Douglas Adams joke, really.

I was 20, wife was 17. Still married, 21 years this september.

I was 19. wife was 20. It was 23 years last December.

My brother and his wife were 17 and 16 and they’re still married after almost 20 years.

18

And today was my 18th aniversary.

22, hubby was 27. Still married, just celebrated 21 years together last week.

Not too shabby.

Another 24.

If so many people get married at around 24, why the heck have lots of people been saying, “Hhmm, Lissla got married at 24. Pretty young, isn’t it? D’you think she can handle the responsibility?” to my mother? It’s not like I was married at 12 or something.

I was 26. She was older. Still married, 16 years.

I was 21, my wife was 19. We’re still happy as a pair of clams (are clams really happy in pairs?) almost 12 years later.

I was 40 years, 7 months. My husband was 51. We’ve known each other since I was 19 and have been together since I was 31. Except for a period when I was 28, but that’s another story.

I was 25 my wife of now 9 years was 23.

I got married when I was 22. I know a few people who got married at 23-24 so that seems to be a normal age.

I was 23, and my husband was almost 25.

Next month we celebrate 2 years of being married!!

We’ve been together since I was 20, though.
