Did you ever notice how perfectly everything fills up the space it would leave if it weren’t there?
I have to go hide under the bed now…
Is that some kind of corollary to whatever you’re looking for always being in the last place you look?
My brain hurts.
This is one of the many corollaries of Zymurgy’s Laws of Evolving System Dynamics.
The primary law being;
“Once you open a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is to use a larger can.”
An offshoot of this is more familiar to product engineers;
“Components expand to fill the space available.”
Which leads to this scenario;
*An engineer is righteously indignant when questioned about the final dimensions of his finished product. *
“What do you mean it’s oversized? The handheld version is designed to fit in the back of a pickup truck!”
I was looking at this empty space just yesterday, trying to think of the perfect thread to fill it.
