As noted, Trump has lied to his followers about the investigation being re-opened and a lot of the items and what Comey said about the status of Clinton in the case (That Clinton will get it when no mention of any changed status of Clinton’s by not needing to be indicted was made in the letter).
What I do notice is how many of the followers of Trump do not see those lies as a problem, but as a feature. Really, there is a problem when Trump shows others how deluded he can get. That should not be a quality a president of the United States should have.
New York Magazine looked at the final days of the Trump campaign and added this note:

The reality of it it isnt serious at all because it has nothing to do with Hillary. There are probably emails from huma to her ex-husband’s device. He probably has a number of email addresses because he was registered on all those underage sex sites. they all feed into his main email. Trump keeps trying to include Bill Clinton and anyone else he can draw into Hillary’s sphere. Why don’t they include Trump’s wife and his children? Just as legitimate. Do far all I’ve seen is donald Jr. with a dead leopard. He’s an animal killer and so is his brother. I don’t care what Huma said to her husband or what he said to her. I retired from the government with a secret clearance. The people that decided those classifications? It’s not cut and dried and like in days gone by may be classified by some nimcompoop. And by the way, Guliani must have had a stroke. He is yelling and not making any sense. I used to like him when I lived in NY.
I haven’t seen any actual allegations as to what Hillary has done wrong here. She mishandled email? She’s already admitted that, apologized for it and been cleared by the FBI. Now the FBI is looking at her emails again and so what? The only thing I can sort of see is that forlorn hope amongst conservatives that somewhere in Weiner’s archive of dick pics is THE EMAIL from Hillary in which she discusses how Benghazi was her idea all along and how she’s going to set up the FEMA death camps one second after becoming POTUS.
These “allegations” are the equivalent of investigating Donald Trump because he was in the same room as Bill Cosby at one point in time.
If you thought she was wrong about emails before, are you super outraged now? Did your cry go from “lock her up” to “put her up against the wall”?
It was Weiner’s laptop. I know no couple who shares a laptop. I don’t think I’ve ever used my husband’s laptop in 21 years of marriage. They don’t even have a warrant to look at it yet.
Now, realistically, what messages are you going to find from Huma to Hillary or vice versa regarding state department business on Huma’s husband’s laptop? How often do you think a guy who likes sending dick pics to other women lets his wife use his laptop?
Yeah. My Wife and I share a laptop. And one desktop (which she is welcome to use but does not). The laptop is mostly just used for surfing the web. emails and such. I’ll pay bills on it sometimes too.
When I upgraded our laptop, we kept the old one for a bit (so we could each have our own). But it was never used so I gave it to my cousin.
Republicans (and RINOs like Trump) are hailing it as the Second Coming, Comey is counting his future chickens, and the only ones who lose out are the American public. Absolutely nothing new under the sun.
This story was ~ page 6 in my local Sunday paper today (San Jose Merc.). Not exactly burning up the wires. Without more info, the story should fade even more this week.
(Which, btw, is one more reason for Coney to keep his trap shut about this. The more he says, the more 'in the news" it is.)
Actually, what Weiner seems to like is being caught sending dick pics to other women. Sending them from a shared device is probably part of it, for him.
And Huma should resign, rather than being dumped. Hillary should accept her resignation. They can still be BFFs, if they want, but Huma’s situation is a distraction that Hillary doesn’t need.
Nope, but most people I know use them for work and are in a high income household. There are six functional laptops in our home of four people. There is no reason to grab anyone’s but mine - and certainly no one uses my work laptop but me - nor do I grab anyone else’s laptop for work.
(I MIGHT grab a laptop sitting on the coffee table to figure out what actor that is that isn’t mine. I never have - I don’t even know other people’s passwords for the five tablets that are in the house).
I can’t imagine that the Abedin-Weiner household is so cash strapped that Anthony doesn’t get his very own laptop.
