IMO, no. Not really. I think that “just knowing it’s possible” is all fine and dandy, but we still have to figure stuff out all of the underlying theories and principles on our own. Which I feel we’re going to do anyway. Eventually.

Along these lines, I could easily believe that high-ranking government officials (possibly going right up to the president) have been getting kickbacks to hamstring the anti-drug efforts.
That’s what I was going to say, the other one would be that there is a god and the ruling class have been talking to him on how to run the world (he’s not a nice god though)
