I’m a 99er. Been away for a while- but was still posting after this current regime and format took control.
I cannot find how to create a signature to my posts. Poked around some but haven’t seen the instructions. Are they still permitted and if so how do I go about making a signature that automatically appears?
Corollary question: if they are NOT permitted any more, will I get in trouble if I hand-write in a signature line below the end of my post?

Click on your avatar in the top right corner. After that click on the bottom icon (head and shoulders).
After that click on Preferences and then finally click on profile.

There are no sigs in Discourse. Period.
You can create a tagline for yourself that will display when someone clicks your avatar. E.g. mine says “Semi-retired”. To create a visible tagline, put it in the field labeled “Name” in your profile’s Preferences >> Account page.
You can put anything you want in your post as long as it’s not one of the banned words or topics or insulting to the mods.

I’m just a regular schlub, not part of TPTB, but I bet the answer is it’s officially OK.
Socially it might be perceived differently.

Well, we did have that one guy who got banned because he admitted his signature was intentionally trollish under certain conditions. But that was more about intent than existence.

They haven’t “fixed the glitch” on my paycheck yet. 
I consider my avatar and username at the top of every post to be the equivalent of a signature, and a signature/tagline would be redundant.
I understand why Discourse wouldn’t bother.
(Then again, I do use them on other forums, so it’s not like I’m opposed to them either.)
