I saw this annoying commercial and thought, I know where I can post about it! So I opened the thread (on my iPhone) and it dropped me in the middle of a 3000 post thread (I guess I had read part of it before). So I tried scrolling to the bottom to post - too far. Same for the top. I couldn’t find a link to take me to a place post. What was I missing?
I don’t know how Apple products display, but clicking the Reply button beneath the OP of any thread is the same thing as clicking the reply button at the bottom of the thread. Or it used to be, at least.
If you click on the thread title, it should take you to the OP.
I couldn’t get to the OP.
I believe that all posts in a thread are considered to be replies to the OP in Discourse. Doesn’t really matter most of the time because Discourse is not threaded.
That didn’t work, I guess. Okay, try this. Go to the forum that you want to post in. Find the thread that you want to post to. Over on the right, there will be a column for the number of replies to the thread. Click on that number and choose the down arrow when the dialogue box pops up. Hopefully, that’ll take you to the last post in the thread.
Are you using Safari? When inside a thread, there should be a rectangular box at the bottom right of your screen with a fraction like 450/3000. If you don’t see it, scroll up or down and it should appear. Click on that and you should get a contextual menu to open with a scroll bar on the right side you can use to navigate the thread.
Got it, thank you!
