Hansel, I don’t think my tone or posture affects my success much (for the reason mentioned in my previous post). But it does affect my amusement level. And if I weren’t amused, I may stop posting here, which would deprive liberal douches of my brilliant input. So, all in all, my tone and posture benefit liberal douches.
Fairly tales don’t get much grimmer than that.
If you were really benefiting us, wouldn’t we be willing to pay you for it?
Speaking, again, as a fairly typical conservative (I can think of maybe one total political issue that I know you and I disagree on), you’re still a douche. Nothing to do with your politics, chump. (His chumpness. El Chumperino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.)
For what it’s worth, I continue to believe you have neither money nor authentic relationships with other people.
Gift tax is paid by the donor–not the donee. There is no reporting obligation for donees.
In the 2002-2005 period, the annual gift tax exclusion per donor-recipient pair was $11,000. So unless the car was worth more than that at the time, which seems unlikely, the gift didn’t need to be reported to the IRS for Federal estate and gift tax purposes.
Funny how it seems to follow you around.
Try shadow-boxing.
And I continue to believe that you are a brain in a vat.
A vat of awesome.
This thread was a lot more interesting when it was about Hal, Gary and the car.
Well, the whaaaambulance showed up, ran over Gary in the car, and hauled Hal to the hospital. Thread’s over, sorry.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black…
I knew some idiot would say this. Please provide one example of me saying that someone who doesn’t agree with me is morally inferior. Thanks.
Well, let’s see if we can’t steer it away from Captain Threadshitter, shall we?
We’re not getting the car back, and that’s fine by me. A mutual friend has hit a very rough patch in life. We have it bad at the moment, but nothing compared to how his situation had gone south. He’s in desperate need of a car, so Gary is signing it over to him.
Liberal-douchey as it is, I’m glad to see he’s passing along the good deed.
FTR, I don’t think there’s anything “liberal-douchey” about giving a car to someone.
I’d say it’s more like you missed it by THAT much, but let’s not quibble.

Wow. I will never forget this – well said.
Yes, I am.
