"How to make an AI cover song with any artist's voice"

I keep seeing these online, after seeing some YouTubers mentioning this… I can’t imagine being able to make your own music and use anyone’s voice, someone from the dead. Or having Roger Daltrey singing Led Zeppelin songs.

Has anyone tried any of the available programs/beta? I’ve always been a “purist”… until now, lol.

This is not mine but here is an example of what AI can do these days:

How soon before a musician’s strike equal to the current writer’s strike?

While not talking about strikes (yet) as far as I know, the Musician’s Union in the UK is definitely worried about developments.

What AI produces aren’t real words. Only humans can speak. If it sounds like words to you, you’re a stupid Capitalist techbro.

I mean, we don’t need AI for that.

Voice cloning is getting pretty close to the real thing. This isn’t a music video, but the cloning of David Attenborough’s voice in this video is about 95% convincing I think:

That production can’t do.

I’m sure “characters” will be made… After some AI program digests so many examples of vocals (only), the inflections, and the little things might sound real?

Some musicians just want to play and get tired of talentless fucks, and not punctual on top of it, “cuz its so rock and roll!”

I don’t think anyone yet answered the OP’s questions. I tool would be curious for any examples of the specific commercially available programs or tools used to create some of this stuff. Or are they just being created on Beta software in some lab in Palo Alto?

I’m sure my team at work would appreciate me leading our morning Zoom calls as Morgan Freeman.

Barry White could be fun too!

“I’m never gonna give AI up”

Oh my gosh. They’ve already made a character profile for Jim Morrison. The genie is out of the bottle. Decisions, decisions…
