How to store cheesecake? How long?

I see several websites say refrigerate for a few days. Others say it can be frozen a few months.

Someone asked on another forum if s/he could freeze it for a year for an anniversary. I didn’t see where anyone had specifically answered the question. Person on forums are sometimes wont to wander, you know.

The only use of “store” that I recognize in relation to “cheesecake” is to describe the place where I go to buy cheesecake.

The only appropriate way to store cheesecake is in a stomach.

I have a recipe for cheesecake, and I love it, but it makes a large one. I usually make it only when I have a lot of people coming over and most of it will be eaten immediately. If there is some left,bi keep it only a couple days in the refrigerator, or freeze it. I figure if Sara Lee can freezectheir cheesecake, I can freeze mine, but we will eat it within a month.

I would only keep it in the refrigerator a couple days. After that it even looks unappetizing, and I just am uncomfortablebeating it. If you look on another thread you will see that I leave my butter on the counter for weeks so it stays soft, so it’s not as though I’m a nut about refrigeration.

That’s only a temporary holding facility. Permanent storage is in the warehouse located along the equatorial belt.

My mother has made and frozen cheesecake before.

I wouldn’t freeze it for a year, probably, but that’s mostly because I like cheesecake, but would just as soon make a new one for the anniversary.
