She can have mine then. I have the opposite problem.
Coming tomorrow. Today is 14-hour day and it’ll give me a chance to wash some of the leftover dye out. I rinse until the water runs clear, but there’s always excess dye in my hair until the second wash. I think it’s the shampoo.
I opened my bedroom window yesterday and turned off the heat. This was a good idea at the time. This morning it’s 35 degrees 'Merican and I was very comfy under my covers. I like spring, but I don’t like the fact that I can’t snuggle under the covers until noon on a day like this.
I wasn’t supposed to work today until 5-10 p.m. , which would have been perfect since I worked last night until 10 p.m., but instead I was asked to come in and work 8-1. A wonky shift, because I have to go and open up the lab at 8, then head to the complete otherside of the campus to TA a class that starts at 8:30. Another TA is coming in to be in the lab starting at 9 a.m.
I was supposed to go to the dentist this morning, but had to cancel since I now work. The next available appointment was in April, so I took it.
Anyway enough complaining, I need to go get dressed in work appropriate clothes.
I saw the post to tdn about whether or not (s)he quit smoking. I was wondering about you, Swampy. I remember you quit for Lent last year - were you successful?
Fire School was fun, but no stories worth telling. I pulled enough hose in 2 days that Swampy would have a month’s worth of <snerk>s, though. This coming weekend is the last one for the season, Emergency Vehicle Operation. Driving school for sigh-reeeens…
I did have one interesting rescue call Sunday afternoon. Mom was throwing her slacker 19 year old son out of the house, and it turned into a classic John Wayne barfight. Mom and her boyfriend have minor injuries; son was wanted and on the run for battery, and is the subject of a restraining order.
Interesting pratfall: boyfriend and son went out the front door of the house, through the railing on the porch, and down 5 feet to the ground.

Taters, SCL, and everyone else having a rough time, please check in. How’s it going?
Hey, you try posting a last-minute MMP and see how accurate you end up being!
Cloud Maiden’s coming back today! Only temporarily, I think, although she was rather vague about the whole thing, as is her wont. Still I’m glad - I’ve missed her and the craziness that was our life together.
Sheesh. Nobody or should I say *no one * even missed me.
Also, you are ALL committing a cardinal sin. When throwing a fabulous party, you must book a fabulous caterer.
Well, I finally called and made an appointment with my doctor this morning. It just seems wrong to be exercising regularly, lose 15 lbs, and feel 5 times crappier than before! They can’t see me until thursday.
That’s all. Carry on like I wasn’t here… (Just as you were already doing.)
THEY HAVE THE WHOLE WEEK OFF!!! (Sorry was I yelling?)
I have to teach T/TH so hubby is covering. He got Monday off. He’s taking Wednesday off becasue we need to take my son in for an evaluation. So he decided to take Friday off too.
Wunnerful! I’m finishing up undergrad and hopefully going to pharmacy school starting this fall. I have an interview next week. (and I’m working >40 hrs/wk in an understaffed pharmacy in the middle of flu season here). You guys are just up tooo early for me on a Monday morning, and I hate playing catch-up. I hope your shrubs are OK. I used to feed them table scraps, and I hope they didn’t get used to it.
Also, catering? Real people get caterers? I only ever see them in sitcoms! I don’t even know how to get a caterer! (“caterer” has too many “ererererers” in it.)
I know for certain that I’ve inherited that gene. Can we all say warfarin for the rest of your life?
Speaking of which, I should stop at the hospital for a pro-time today. I’m on my way out to vote, anyway, so I’ll swing around that way after.
