When I use the quote button at the bottom of a post that contains a quote from a previous thread, that quote does not appear in my new post. I assume multi-quote will handle this but I’m danged if I can figure out how. Help.
Multi-quote usually refers to the button that lets you choose quotes from multiple posts and have them all included in a single reply. What you’re talking about (I believe) is nested quotes, e.g.

[QUOTE=poster1]
I like cake.
[/QUOTE]

You’re both right!
There’s no automatic way to do it in vBulletin – quoting a post only includes the text written by the author of the post. You have to manually cut and paste the text and include it like so:

[QUOTE=poster2]
[QUOTE=poster1]
I like cake.
[/QUOTE]
No, cake is gross.
[/QUOTE]
