How to use the internet - Mash the keyboard - Find a book to read.

Here’s how to do it - Mash the keyboard on the google search bar (type something like ‘sdvkhg’)

Click the first link. Read ‘Foundation’s Edge’ by Isaac Asimov.

What should I mash on the keyboard if I want to shop online for wallpaper?

Starting from <;aoihga>, I get www.aiga.org/ For American design professionals. A place to exchange ideas and information, participate in critical analysis and research, and advance education …
No literary connections. Couldn’t find a mashup that would get you wallpaper. Although, really, the only thing I tried for that was adding <wall> to the beginning of my mashup.

dhszvfbh - no matches.

Trimming from the right end:
dhszvfb - no matches
dhszvf - first hit is the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

JRB

Your search - 45drft6cvuy h - did not match any documents.

Did you mean: **45rft6cvy **h

Which alternate doesn’t turn up anything either.

Though I wonder what Google was doing to change my search by one garbage letter?

It usually works better if you try to limit your mash to 6 letters from a-z.
I know this is a bit of a mundane thread. But I thought it was kinda cool that a complete act of randomness due to boredom ended up with something so ‘useful’ (as a boredom releiver)

“nvhgy”

**First **result:
“nvhgy’s Channel at Metacafe. Subscribe RSS Subscription. You have successfully subscribed to XXX’s channel. nvhgy has not added any videos to his channel…”

Holy shit! Everything on the Internet *does *lead to porn! I’m not clicking on that one!

See, there’s your mistake right there. The first time you clicked a link, you put yourself through horrible pain. Why would you want to do this again? Foundation’s Edge… shudder. It’s a desecration, a vomit-stained pimple on the beautiful face of the first three Foundation books.

Having said that, “kjash8” leads to a Hello Kitty reading lamp, much to my amazement.

I tried sdvkhg like you said.

Google asks if i meant sdvdhg.

f,kbvg leads to a page describing an eBay auction for a cap from KBVG, a Netherlands soccer team.

And as a grad student in bioinformatics, I’m not remotely surprised by the third link to a PSI-BLAST query, though it’s odd that I can’t find that actual sequence in the query itself.

My masters thesis is going to be very easy to write though. Five beers, a keyboard, half an hour…

ynuie lead me to what appears to be an article about discussion pages for Portuguese Wikipedia.

This is fun!

wrykjf took me to a couple of radio station websites.
