How will Trump's 4th of July address pan out?

Likely, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he uses the opportunity to officially announce he’s running for re-election.

…and then claim that the crowds were there to support his campaign.

He’s already announced. He’s even announced Pence will stay on as VP.

Maybe he’ll officially announce he wants to repeal the 22nd Amendment.

Yeah, but that was just for the Secret Service. Afaik, Nixon didn’t have his own uniform (although Walt Kelly put Agnew in one).

Well, precedence is rarely a perfect fit, but then again, his uniform won’t be either…

Whoee yet another reason to not be there on the date!

Wasn’t the 22nd Amendment pretty much the only thing keeping Obama from being re-elected in 2016 - and from getting elected in 2020?

The only thing I can see Trump wanting to repeal is the first sentence of the 14th Amendment.

Maybe, but we can make the same argument about Eisenhower, Reagan, Clinton, and at least claim that G.W. Bush would have had a better shot than John McCain.

Ceausescu moment.

In all seriousness I expect he will do the same thing that happened to his military parade. The city will present a bill covering security that he will balk at and attack them on Twitter. The standard event goes on.

As per here.

I hope there won’t be violence.
