Ignore if you’re a Howard hater:
Howard Stern announced the continuation of his show on Sirius-XM. He signed another 5 year contract, terms not disclosed.
He did hint there may be some scheduling changes. I for one hope he shifts his show a couple of hours.
This is the year I finally stopped listening. I would listen a couple of times a month when there was an interesting guest in or if there was some special event going on, but then I got sick and tired of listening to a grumpy old man who is way out of touch with reality.
Huzzah! I had to stay in my car this morning in the parking lot at work, listening to him gleefully drag out the announcement. Wouldn’t have expected anything less, of course.
Here’s hoping most/all of the “gang” stays as well. Yes, even Benji.
Spoiler, DOH! hehheh, I don’t actually care about spoilers, though this one did ping a tiny bit on the spoiler meter. It’s all good, though.
I’m currently listening to Monday’s wrap-up show, and have just torrented Tuesday & Wednesdays show. So I’m unusually current, but still not enough to hear the announcement before getting spoiled. No biggee.
I’m totally psyched. Howard has become part of my daily routine, in that instead of just while driving, now anytime I do any kind of mindless chore like washing dishes, laundry, cleaning in general, etc…, I have to be listening to him on my mp3 player. I haven’t missed any part of any show in 3 years, though I do skip interviews I have no interest in.
I’m often up to two weeks behind, then catch up during a vacation week and thus am never left wanting. As I said above, I’m current on Monday’s wrapup show, so I expect to “run out” for maybe the second time this calendar year sometime around the 20th and then be totally screwed. heh.
From what I understood of what I heard, the schedule isn’t changing. Did I miss something? I thought the big change was the addition of his show to the Sirius phone app (which up until now has not included his show for whatever reason).
I sat in my car, too, waiting to hear what it was going to be. He is the king of effing with people! I’m listening to the replay and can’t wait to hear the part where he tricks Sal into believing it’s all over.
BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY BABA BOOEY!!!
God, I detest the term “hater”…it is something a 12 twelve year old ghetto wannabe girl would say.
I’m just a fan who doesn’t like the direction the show has taken in the past few years. Endless talk about American Idol or his wife and the NSAL (which is a terrible charity, btw) has totally turned me off the show.
No, you’re a hater. Trust me. And probably projecting your own grumpiness, and trying to compensate for your awful life. Why else show up to grump when you were specifically asked not to?
I do have to admit that if he left, I would probably consider canceling my subscription. The only other channel that I have listened to with any regularity is the opera channel (yes, I have very polar tastes!), but then again, where would I be able to listen to 24-hour opera? So who knows what I would have done…
Good job demonstrating how much you’re not a hater. Here’s a hint: Even ignoring your initial post to this thread, all of your followups have been the very definition of a hater. I’m guessing you don’t like the term because the truth hurts.
Actually, you’re the one who can’t stand someone on the internet having an opinion you don’t agree with, which is why you shit in this thread despite being asked not to. All I’ve done is point that out.
I’m not at all surprised. Sirius XM would lose all those listeners. I can’t see him retiring, and his wife’s social contacts/charity work would suffer if he did retire. And, I know someone who listens to Howard every single day, and though he says it’s not as funny since Artie left, well, no more Howard Stern would leave a pretty big hole in this guy’s day.
