Wow…that’s positively balmy for you guys!
Not sure if I believe it, as I sweated in the Target parking lot in long sleeves today. When I was a kid we used to call these “mosquito Christmases”.
BoM was saying Adelaide was due for 36. Then 31. Then 29. Now 28. Possible showers.
I’m okay with this. It’s currently 36 right now and it’s fucking nasty.
I’ts now noon on Xmas eve here.
It’s totally sunny & 40F/4C. Later today & tomorrow should warm up to almost 50F/10C & remain clear & brightly sunny.
This is a a bit warmer than average but not unprecedented.
I’m dreaming of a White Christmas. But we’re getting a Wet Christmas. Central Mississippi: 53 F and showers.
but in typical Saskatchewan fashion, people are highly suspicious of this weather. I was in a waiting room yesterday and the weather came up in conversation - one older gent said, “We’re living on borrowed time here.” and there were nods of agreement around the room. The other phrase you typically hear in this situation is “It’s nice, but we’ll pay for this.”
Sat photo suggests a storm is on its way, but may be petering out before it gets here. Around 30F, a little snow expected. High waves on Lake Michigan.
Excuse me, I have to go extinguish the fire in the fireplace so Santa won’t get his ass cooked.
What happens when the chimney is blocked
“Monsoons over Madagascar!”
Central Texas, mid-30’s (Fahrenheit) and soggy. It’s rained all day, and the day before and the day before. After the ridiculous bullshit summer we had I’m happy with that.
The height of summer in Melbourne, Australia. We just had the summer solstice of course, and we can expect to get even hotter from this day onward until it peaks somewhere around late February.
We had a perfect Christmas Day here today. It was warm, but not hot, with a gentle breeze and a maximum of 25C, a couple of degrees warmer than predicted.
It turned out to be lovely weather today. Mostly sunny - not so hot that the traditional dinner was a burden to eat. A bit humid but that’s almost always the case.
We got to 36.5 C on the pergola - not as bad as I thought. And first thing this morning it was actually pretty cool.
North Carolina - High 50s and cloudy.
Dublin, Ireland - 12c/55f unseasonably warm, looks like it might rain though later on.
Toronto, Canada. The predicted rain has not yet started which makes my turkey smoking husband very happy. It is about 3c though so if the rain does show it might actually be flakes.
27c at the moment, a bit warm for lots of cooking. I’ll have to turn the a/c on.
60° currently. Pretty low. Thankfully the temperature is projected to be back up to 70° by Wednesday.
84 F. and partly cloudy here in Daytona (I love visiting family for Xmas) .
