How's This For A MMP?

That was it. Didn’t want to buy anything frozen or refrigitated 'cause I was on the way to irk (plus I can’t cook at the place I’m renting anyway), and I’m trying to keep an eye on the carb intake because of that whole diabetes thing, so I’m purty much limited to nuts, meat and vegetables for snacks, and I didn’t feel like paying $6 for a bag of jerky that I knew I’d eat in one day.

So I bought a pound of almonds that I knew I was going to eat in one day. But it only cost $4!

Dang Rosie, Ethi has almonds. What more could he possibly need?

Dindin is et and the kitchen is all cleanded up. ‘Tis gettin’ chilly out. Da bear is all snug and warm in da cave. Life is good.

It takes you a day to eat a bag of jerky, Ethilrist?! i have the worlds WORST teeth and I still can scramble through a bag of the Jack Link’s Carne Seca in no time! Sooooooo goooooood…

So** Gotti**, how was the stabbing? And what’s a Rennie?

Not sure what’s for dinner; we need to eat up the pantry, but I’m still working on a yummy pasta salad I made yesterday, since I still haven’t figured out how to make ANYthing for less than 10 people yet.

You too Taomist? I live alone and still cook like I’m feeding an army. Good thing most stuff can be frozen. Heck, I shop like it too-- no way I could get out TJ’s with just a bag of almonds like Ethi.

I see now Swampy! How nice of the boys-- such caring neighbors. Now what do you make of all those young folk who’ve moved to town, working at the shop? I’ve been in there several times and not seen hide nor hair of ‘em. Bubba says they’re busy in the movie room taking inventory and such but I have my doubts. A dozen youngsters take all day, everyday, for inventory? They may be lazin’ about, takin’ advantage of Bubba and Jose’s kind and trusting nature! Do you think I ought to go back and have a word with them? A word of encouragement might do a world of good and what harm would it do?

Helloooooooo Mumpers!

Apparently I need a Trader Joe’s here. I can’t get a pound of almonds for $4. :frowning:
I voted. In and out in under 5 minutes.
Ashes2 I forgot to register when I was 20 and had just moved to a new town so I didn’t get to vote in the 2000 election and I still feel guilty about it.

Glad I got my ballot into the county elections dropbox Sunday night, because going out today for that wouldn’t be happening. Trivial compared to what others are dealing with, but I have a bad head cold. Why do they not make vacuum cleaner attachments to drain sinuses?

Hope I feel enough better tomorrow to be driving, since Her Feline Majesty needs to be taken in for her rabies shot so I can renew her city license.

A head cold isn’t trivial at all! When I had one in September, I missed numerous classes because I was too congested and dizzy to make the 45 minute drive. I got a 31 on a test because I was practically delusional from the pain and breathlessness. I got a 60 on another test for the same reason.
Frankly, I’d rather have the flu because there’s generally an end in sight and people take it seriously. With a cold, it just goes on and on and on (almost a full month for mine) and everyone thinks it’s “just a cold”.

Irked, voted, came home. Basil chicken in the oven. Almost Thyme to eat.

Shortdrum!!!

gotti, I’d rather had needles shoved into me, then do a conference call.

{{{{swampy}}}}

Was I right?

I’m getting agida watching the returns - I think I’ll have a Mike’s and crawl into bed

I used to know a girl named Agida.
She was Spanish.
You don’t play for the other team, do you, after the question about the foot rubbing thing?

Watching the returns is making me crazy.

:::wags finger::: Dear Mr. Dog, if you continue to make groaners like that, you may find the mumpers shoving needles into you during a conf call! :frowning:

I voted, but neither early or often. In SowfFluffia, that would make me a bad city-zen.
I’s em-bare-assed to say I din’t know much about one race - state auditor general. Is there a republican way to audit that is different than a democrat way of auditing, or does victory just mean which [del]political targets[/del] departments will get scrutiny?

I used to know a wife who was crazy.

There was Thyme in the chicken, so no need for your fowl threats.

Now you know two.

Watching the election results is making me crazy too.

Dear G-d, what have I done?

Well, I’m a mostly happy camper about the election results now. Things were a little tense for awhile.

I don’t need to blame elections for craziness. :stuck_out_tongue:

But come on: how surprised would EVERYONE have been if Romney had won? I would have assumed I’d fallen asleep and was dreaming, lol. :stuck_out_tongue:
Not that it matters with a fractious House/Senate putting the brakes on everything.

And…California voted to not give schools any money through taxes. And since for the last 5 years, the school systems have received NOTHING from the state, this looks really, really bad.

Also…Yay for Colorado!!
