Huckleberry Raskolnikov

When I lived in Kentucky (vintage early '90s), there was a continuing radio serial entitled “Huckleberry Raskolnikov, the all-American Boy with the Marxist Orientation”.

I suspect the offending radio station was either WLW-Cincinnati or WHAS-Louisville.
Does anyone remember what this was all about, or could it have been some bizarre fantasy of mine?

I remember Huckleberry Roskalnikov on my local NPR station, WOI, when I was young. I can still hear the dude’s voice. The content of the show was droll and flippant as if put together by smart college students.

One theme or story arc I remember is the aquisition of apricot pits to make the cancer-fighting drug laetrile.

I have yet to find out who made the show, who was in it, or if it’s archived and most importantly: would I still find it humourous?

So unless we’re both mad the show did exist.

WOI AM, Ames Iowa back in the 70’s originally.

I remember it from WSUI public radio in Ioea City

Iowa City in early 70’s. Been looking for it sinc Google was born. Any way to re-hear??

…Now I absloutely have to hear this.

And Ames is a college town, right?

Oh, and when I first saw the name of this thread, I thought it was about the Whitaker character on The Pitt. He turns marxist in the final episode???

I was hoping it was a Twain/Dostoyevsky mashup. Just hope there wasn’t originally a slash in the title.
