HUFF on Showtime

Just wondering if any Dopers were going to be watching Huff this season on Showtime. The threads just died last year, but I’m hoping with the Emmy wins maybe more folks will be watching.

If you’re interested in the show, discuss away!

I plan on watching. I was really into it last season.

Me too. Unfortunately I just moved and so I don’t have cable in the new place yet. So I missed tonight’s season premier. Hopefuly Showtime will show enough reruns so I can catch it.

They’re re-running it already. :stuck_out_tongue:

A good hour and 45 minutes. Only complaint was not enough Byrd.

I think Oliver Platt might be my current favorite actor. Hard to believe, I know, but damn if he doesn’t play that role perfectly. I absolutely believe it’s him.

The church scene(s) might have been a little predictable, but I really want to see where they’re going with that.

“So there’s this 80 year old woman in a coma…”
Oh yeah, and how cool is Mike the dog?

I watched this last season, too, and thought it was great. I just ordered Showtime over the weekend so I could watch this season, although it seems it’s free this weekend, unbeknownst to me  . Oh well, I’ll get the first season on DVD as a bonus, apparently.

Yes, Oliver Platt truly rocks. He is SO underrated as an actor.

Blythe Danner, also the bomb.

Mike the dog, pretty damn good too (how come MY Golden isn’t that smart? If I passed out, she’d just lick my face and search my pockets for treats.)

Sharon Stone does not look like Sharon Stone (between her and Lara Flynn Boyle, I’m beginning to think this is the series for Guest Actresses with Unfortunate Plastic Surgery). I thought her part was pretty damn unnecessary and could have easily been played by someone else, and better. I’m looking forward to Angelica Huston, though.

I really enjoyed the show and hope more people are along to discuss it.

Btw, I’m a psychologist and I don’t know of ANY clinician, psychiatrist or otherwise, who charges $300 an hour!

He seems to have aged alot more then a week though.

Yeah, you’re not kidding about that. Of course, he did tell his grandmother that he’s 25 now.

He has such a compelling authenticity to everything he does. (For one thing, I don’t know anyone else who can bring such nuance to the word fuck.)

Have you spent much time in the Holy Land, er uh New York?

Huff’s in L.A. And I’m in San Diego. New York is unto itself  .

He proabably could have told her he was Teddy and she would’ve believed that too.

He seems kinda young to order a scotch…neat.
