Huff

“I’m sorry you had to hear that…Kale.”

“Wow, you were even named after a vegetable.”

Heh heh.

I think this show has pretty good potential. It’s dealing with some serious issues and it’s pretty funny too.

However, I suspect it’ll die because it fails to meet the typical definition of drama or comedy. Here’s hoping that unlike Kale, it’ll live a vibrant life!

Blythe Danner so far is my favorite. I had no idea she’d make such a great bitch. Female Archie Bunker? And Bird, what a sweet kid. I don’t care for Huff’s wife much, seems a bit self-involved. Oliver Platte makes a great sleazy lawyer. I can’t wait to see the epi with the two midget ladies. The previews crack me up.

Lastly, I hate the credits intro. It reminds me of NIN videos and Se7en. Too creepy and dark. This is supposed to be a comedy. Surely, it will get a little less creepy and more edgy with eps to come.

As far as not liking the wife too much, Newsweek (I think) had an article about actors who “kill” TV series. Guess what…Paget Brewster (the wife) showed up on this list. So there’s apparently a reason you don’t like her.

I really like what they’re doing with the editing and camera work.

Damn, damn. Found the article you mentioned. Thanks! Hopefully, they’re right and she’s finally found a show that will end the Paget Curse. Side note: Poor Duckie! :frowning: I still don’t like her.

And another thing, Hank Azaria is an awful smoker. He really needs to quit.

Yes! The panning while focusing on the character’s face segue into a new scene. Awesome!

I’m a ‘Dead Like Me’ fan, so I’m looking forward to a new Showtime great Showtime series. I burned out on HBO when Sex/City went big. It never really appealed to me.
I wish more dopers would discuss Showtime series…

BTW, where are my manners? :smack:
Welcome to the Dope, CapnPitt!

I have high hopes for this show. I am very impressed with the acting so far, and I love the camera work!
