I just got back from an interview at a restaurant in town. The manager hired me 25 minutes into the interview, and told me to start on Thursday. I am excited. I will still be able to work on my school work, still able to work part-time on campus, and will be able to work 20-30 hours a week at this place.
While I filled out my paperwork, I saw 4 other people get to the interview and be sent off without jobs, so I’m in a good mood. It just seems like a good month for me! Yay!

Thanks guys! I’m just so excited at how well they were willing to work with me and how quick she said I was hired. I talked to a good friend who worked there last year before he graduated, he said they usually do 2-3 interviews, but I didn’t even get through the first one, so I must’ve done good. Plus, understanding my class schedule is ridiculous (10am-4/6pm depending on day) since I’m taking 5 this quarter is great. She said they would work around it and if it changed next quarter they would do everything they could to keep my hours. After a couple days of bad news (people being sick and passing away in the past week), it’s funny how this trivial part-time job has made me feel so good…
Of course, it helps that we also found out about our baby this month. Oh, how nice it will be to have some money saved now that I’m working (this money goes straight into a savings fund for our future-child’s need) I know it isn’t a ton, but 30 hours a week going into an account will add up in the next 8.5 months…
