I wonder if it’s a waste of mine time to point out that people should learn the difference between Canadians, Francophones, East side, West side, Center if the universe (ontario) and everything else (everything else) before they make remarks about a certain group. There’s nothing more… amusing… than to see all Canadians being insulted when it was clearly aimed at only a portion of them.
Yeah, I guess it IS somewhat a little waste of time, but then again, I am on a message board!

I currently live in Western Washington. Many people in Washington State bitch about Mexicans, since there are many here ([Mr. Garrison]Mayor, can we get rid of all the Mexicans?[/Mr. Garrison} Yeah, I know, South Park is in Colorado. So sue me.)
I also hear about busloads of Canadians coming down to my beloved U.S.of A. to spend money on less expensive consumer goods. More money to the U.S. Not bad, eh?
I also hear about busloads of us Yanks going up to the Great White North for cheaper prescriptions. More money for the Dominion. Not bad, y’know?

I go to Canada quite often on business (just got back this afternoon in fact) Usually I go Vancouver, but I have also been to Toronto, and Montreal.
Without a doubt the Canadians are the nicest people I have ever delt with. Freindly, funny, and the women in Vancouver are hot. I am sure there are assholes in Canada, but I have never met one, something I cannot say about New Yorkers.
If I ever hit the lotto, I’m gonna move to BC.
One more quick note. I was in Vancouver on 9/11. The compassion of the Canadians I encountered was almost beyond belief. Good people.

Hey! Wakey wakey! Saskatchewan and Manitoba both have NDP governments. That’d be to the left of the Liberals (who aren’t left-wingers in the first place), not to the right. In fact, if you knew anything about Canadian history, you’d know that it was the West that was the birthplace of socialized medicine, etc. Ontario and Quebec are traditionally more conservative than the west. (Ignoring Alberta, of course, which is the proper attitude to take towards Alberta in any event :D)
