I am wondering if anyone here told their parents when they lost their virginity

Hell no. And my kids never told me. None of anyone else’s business.

I didn’t have to tell them. They walked in on us in the middle of it.
I was a teenager and I got a girl to come over to “study” and we ended up experimenting (no prior planning on my part, of course  ) and my parents came home early. :smack::rolleyes:

I’m not kidding!:frowning:

Nope, but I’m sure they figured it out.

When I was in my thirties I had a girlfriend who went on a cruise with her then-boyfriend (about two before me). When she told her mother she was going on a cruise Mom asked, “You’re getting separate cabins, aren’t you?”

“I looked her right in the eye and said, ‘But Mom; it would cost twice as much then.’ You know what? She’s never asked anything remotely like that since.”

The ironic part is by that time she’d been married and divorced – it turned out he was an alcoholic. Perhaps because the marriage was less than a year, Mum figured it hadn’t been consummated.

I’m going to need more explanation.

Just in case we get one, I’m out of here…

Clearly she was telling her mother-in-law that said mother-in-law was now responsible for washing her linen. Since she was married now. I bet before the wedding her mother-in-law said “I will never wash your linen” and that’s why she was smirking.

I’m assuming it has something to do with the expectation that a virgin bride will bleed on her wedding night, because of the belief that a woman must bleed the first time she has vaginal sex.

I have no idea, however, whether the sheets in this story were meant to have borne blood stains or not, how that might have met with the mother-in-law’s expectations, what was ZPG’s motivation in having her mother-in-law witness the sheets, or anything else about this story.

Based upon ZPG’s post and the topic of the thread, it makes most sense if ZPG is the bride in this story, but what an odd thing to do, even if ZPG was the groom.

Yes I know. I just don’t understand the context in which that came into play in ZPG Zealot’s marriage. Did her MIL demand “proof” that she was a virgin when she married MIL’s son?

By the “with a smirk” part, I assumed her mother-in-law didn’t think she was a virgin.

With the level of trust going on in that family, I’d suspect that the MIL, took the sheet and had it analyzed by a CSI team.

Nope, nope - can’t you hear the sirens going off in the background

I was in my forties. Telling my parents…didn’t seem a priority.

My honky parents were divorced. I was an underage runaway on the other side of the continent. Long-distance calls were costly then. I was not about to send a postcard announcing, “My first fuck was interracial!” At least she wasn’t my sister.

Wait, whut?

Back then… religion rules were that no sex before marriage. Had a morning wedding then to my grandparents’ house for a family thing with grandparents, parents, aunt, uncles, cousins, etc. Took an afternoon “nap” in a guest bedroom. We were too naive to not realize that everyone probably knew what was going on. So to answer the question… No, but they were in another room and probably knew it was happening.

Years before… I was alone at my grandparents’ house (same grandparents, different house). They were on a long vacation and I was watering lawn and stuff. It was then I discovered what happens if you rub yourself a certain way for a while.

So, I’ve wondered if I’m the only person who had their first solo experience and first experience with a partner at their grandparents’ house.
