I bet I have the most pitiful lunch of everyone.

mmmmm… stone soup.
I’m not sure what the peep tree will add… but I’m willing to donate.

Now, TopazAntares
hush your mouth and send your grandma over here to make lunches for people who will appreciate them

4 (count em!) saltine crackers tossed into my cube by a magnanimous cow-orker and a caffeine free Coke. Don’t laugh, them was some gooood saltines.

I’m not eating lunch today. I didn’t have breakfast this morning. (Well, I never eat breakfast.) I won’t have dinner tonight. Or lunch tomorrow. Or dinner tomorrow. Or the next day. And so on.

I’m waiting around the corner for Silver Fire to pass out from hunger. Then, I’ll be having lunch…

Pandora… it’s not that I’m ungrateful or anything but I wouldn’t mind it if she just left it up to me to make my own lunches? I am 18 and can feed myself. She just gets up earlier then I do and has made it a habit to feed me… I’m gonna be fat by the time I move out

Pass out from hunger? Not likely. Not soon anyway. I just ate 20 hours ago.

I can wait.

The good news: They catered lunch for the employees here today. Barbeque (chicken and brisket), salad, potato salad, baked beans, rolls and butter, fruit, and cake for dessert. Oh, and soft drinks.

The bad news: I’m on the last shift at work, so my lunch hour is at 2:30. Catering only lasted until 1:30, so I filled my plate at noon (per supervisor’s request). Cold barbeque, congealed baked beans, warm salad, stale roll, melted butter, no fruit (they’d run out), and stale cake. At least the root beer was cold.

::hijack:: Oh, and did I mention we had an early meeting in our department today? Since I take the bus, I got to work at 6:45 AM. The last shift here gets off at 7:00 PM. I do NOT do mornings, especially when I’ve only had 5-6 hours sleep the night before. So if I seem cranky, you know why.
::hijack::

We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum.

Got you beat–I work evening shift–3:30 pm to 12:30 am (or whenever I get off). We had to be here for a meeting from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Which is right in the middle of my “night”. 'Course the rest of the evening shift had to come in, too, so being cranky is not an option, or we’d all kill each other.

Regarding the OP–I don’t quite know which is my lunch and which is my dinner on this schedule, but I had a sammich at about 10:30 am and Wendy’s Spicy Chicken sammich and small fries at 6:30 pm…Whatever

You had your left pinkie? Oh, you had it sooooo good! I ate my pinkie last week. It was the last finger I had. Today I was reduced to eating the fingernail polish shavings I had scraped off my fingers before I ate them. I saved them just in case of an emergency. I’m typing this with a pencil between my gums, because I ate my teeth three weeks ago.
…[sub]Persephone, who’s up there with Silver Fire on days without food…[/sub]

You had pinkies wrapped in fine newspaper and covered with bechamel correction sauce? Now that is spoiled. My pinkies always came wrapped in tinfoil. Now that just hurts the teeth.

I had six pieces of pizza and three cans of coke. Neener neener!

My lunch today was

3 pears

a bag of pretzels

a Dr. Pepper

Is it any wonder I only weigh 130 pounds.

::actually exists. yes, really::
I eat a lot at lunch, because they pile on the side dishes and stuff at our school…but here’s the catch:
it’s not edible. and usually looks like something unmentionable.
that beef crap the other day…I can’t believe I even ate the three pieces of it that I did. ::twitch::

I had chicken McNuggets for lunch today for the second time this week. As long as the prices are so low, I will likely continue to do so. Sometimes I really love McDonald’s, as sad as that may sound.

My lunch today:
Roast beef on marble rye with cheddar and Montery Jack cheese (one slice of each), tomatoes and mayo. A little bit of chicken salad on the side.

I had a cup of Kozy Shack chocolate pudding that was on it’s expiration date.

It was on sale at the food court.

[sub]the manicotti was just a side order…[/sub]

Lunch was bulggogi and rice at the restaurant across the street… damn they have good cok-toogie there! But the whole thing made my stomache kind of upset…

I want some bulggogi and rice! Damn you Astroboy, now I’m going to have to whine and whine and whine to my Mommy until she makes me some, and you know how those old Korean women get when they are upset.

And, for some reason cok-toogie sounds familiar, but I can’t remember what it is. Is it gross?

Oh, and my Mom still won’t tell me what a shumyunsiki is. :frowning:

tater, cok-toogie is a kind of kim-chi… they take this big-ass radish and cut it up into cubes, then ferment it for a while with various secret herbs and spices… it really is good!

But for some reason the whole thing made my stomach upset, so I’m sitting here at work waiting for 5:00 so I can go home and lay down for a bit… then I have to go out drinking (bachelor’s party for a friend)! Ugh! Right now my stomach does not want alcohol…

BTW: sorry to read that you’re sick! Get well soon!

And: whine and whine until Mommy tells you what shumyunsiki is! I still wanna know!
