The good news is, I’ve located my stuff!
The bad news is, it’s in Virginia Beach, and I’m not. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. Accordingly, the housewarming is definitely pushed back three weeks.
Meanwhile, I’ve been playing with paint colors, and suffering from decision overload. Maybe I should’ve just posted into IMHO, and taken whatever color the Dopers selected.

My furniture was delivered in good order yesterday. Today’s task is to unpack the kitchen, so that tonight I can have dinner in my very own place.
Last night I unpacked the bathroom. I got out the shower curtain and the curtain rings, went to hang them on the rod… and found that there was no shower rod. I’m heading out to BB&B (yet again) for a tension rod.

Thanks for the offer, Ginger, but at the moment the only thing I need help with is electrical work. The phone jack in the room where I’ve set up my computer turned out to be a data jack, and I need to have an electrician install a phone jack there. (Hence my delay in updating this thread.)
The good news is, I have a job interview tomorrow! A friend of my parents forwarded my resume to his CIO, who would like to meet with me tomorrow afternoon. So I’m spending this afternoon researching the company.
That’s good news for you! I wish you luck. We’re off for a week (Beach! Sun!), but maybe you can get up here for dinner in the next couple of weeks.

The phone jacks have been properly wired – the line was on a loop, and the loop had been disconnected.

Have you finalized the new party date? I see you mention the 26th but can’t tell if that’s firm now.
