Gaaah… really worried about the benefit office thing now- I’ve posted my explanation for not having attended an appointment (I wasn’t told there was one), and now I just have to sit and wait, and see if they cut off my benefits for 4 weeks.
I’m glad the stuff at my allotment is starting to grow well, 'cos if they do cut me off, that’s all I’m eating for a month.
I could do with losing some weight, but that isn’t my preferred method.
gotti it’d be worth it to know if he does have AD or some other form of dementia cause those things can be genetic. Other than that, what others have said, go with your gut.
I have emerged from paperirk hell for now. Next week I’ll have a fresh new batch. On the plus side jobs and trainin’ placements are happenin’ so it’s good.
It’s ick out. Not stormy but just ick. We are under a Flash Flood Watch or Warning dependin’ on where ya hare. I’m in the watch part.
The deck looks good MOOOOOOM but where’s the button that changes it from a deck to a clothesline?
ETA: Nuts appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the benefits thing.
That looks very nice, FCM. Well done… and I ain’t talkin’ steaks.
95 here, although I know it can get a lot worse.
I’m trying to buy a big nice smoker but the brand and model I want will be 8 weeks before it’s back in stock again. Stupid summer. Stupid well built craftmanship.
Two dozen 'nanner-bread muffins just came out of the oven and 2 fake krab quiches just went in. When I can have the house open, I can use the oven.
**swampy **- it’s not a push-button deck!
Thanks, **lieu **- we’re quite pleased with it so far. We went to Lowe’s today to look at the pergola on display that we’re kinda sorta going to copy. We’ll build the pieces in the basement then assemble them on the deck. We were also looking at pavers to make a path from the basement to the deck.
No rain yet -it’s all passing north and west of here. Dammit. We need rain!!
I stopped and got a pepperoni pizza on the way to da cave. That and some sallit has been consumed. The addition of the sallit made it a nutritious and healthy meal. Did too!
Drizzly and dreary out. A good evenin’ to be inside and all comfy.
The hurricane that tried to destroy Miami-Dade County in 1992 was named for Irish Storyteller. If they ever name a hurricane after me it’ll probably level cities.
A Cat 4 hurricane named for me pounded the puddin’ out of Cuba in 2001. I cut the headline out of the paper. Wonder if I still have it somewhere??
Supper is ready - we’re waiting for daughter to get here. She had a baby shower after work so she’s a bit late, but she’s now enroute, so yay. By the end of the month, she’ll be moving to FL.
Why is June colder than May this year? I feel so ashamed to turn on the heat in my room in June. Though my room is in a basement, so that makes it quite cold to begin with.
I’ll look for some easy-to-play arrangements of Hawaiian music, or try to make my own. And try to learn them all in a week or two. If that doesn’t work out, I could probably just play some chords or something and maybe people won’t notice. I’ll see what happens.
