It’d be better with more juicy details… ![]()
I’ve watched one movie in my queue, started another that didn’t grab me, so I dumped that one and I’m trying another. I had a 'mater sammich and a bowl of cherries - YUM!! I think I’ll log off for the day and assume the position and watch my movie.
MWAH!!***
Spaz I may indeed need extra special confession tomorrow but not because of any shenanigans in and around the pool. I may need it because of the somewhat UnChristian words that came out of my mouth when I heard a loud crash in the livin’ room half an hour ago. A huge paintin’ of a magnolia blossom in a vase (it’s purty!) fell off the wall! Glass shattered all around. My little glass froggie that sat on the floor right beneath it was a casuality. Sad.
I loved little froggie. Anywho the glass is all cleaned up now and the painting itself is not hurt. It could have been worse. It could have hit and broken an expensive lamp that sets on a table right in front of where the paintin’ was. Also, there is a recliner on either side of the table. No one was sittin’ in the recliner closest to the paintin’ which had a few glass shards in it, so glad no one was reclined there at the time as everyone was in the kitchen.
Drama from the swamp!
why was I ever afraid of this breastfeeding thing? This is easy peezy, I wish I could have done this for my twins. It probably helps that Squeakers (her new nickname since she sounds like a little mouse when she cries) came out the size of a 2 month old, LOL.
Poor Froggie! We should look for a new one for Swampy
Apes, really glad the breast feeding is working out, and I’m giggling outright at the Squeaky name.
Lawn is mostly mowed, outdoor chairs and tables are washed down, patio cleaned up, buncha snow-on-the-mountain has been dug up to make way for something with more color, I’m soaked from head to toe, but in the heat it feels good. And the hummingbird feeders all empty and forlorn looking, so that’s next!
Just did some work for my dad and have been outside pretty much for the last few hours whether I am riding my bike, showing card tricks, doing work trying to find my dad, fighting with my sister, lol. In a while we are grilling stuff for dinner (which I really love).
I have a violin recital tomorrow 7:30 PM EDT and practice with the accompaniment at 3:30 PM and my sister’s dance recital I have to attend tomorrow. Yeah, we are going to be outside the house more than we will be in it tomorrow.
It is partly cloudy right now with 22 degrees Celsius (71.6 in Fahrenheit). It’s kind of sad that it isn’t getting over 27 (80.6) this whole next week and we are approaching the middle of June.
I’d love to trade weather with you. It’s 107F here (42C) right now. Good news is it’s supposed to be down into the 80s and possibly even 70s after today.
I have three snoozed out grown men in da cave. Methinks the combo of sun, tequila, martinis and a biiiiiiiiiiiiig meal did 'em all in. Me, I’m sorta wired up for some reason. The margarita buzz wore off three hours ago and I did not have martinis. Maybe it’s because at least tonight I’m the good one!
Anonymous I wish I could go to your recital. Oh, and I watched the card trick video you linked earlier.
Finished practicing my clarinets. I’ll need to do some pretty intense ukulele practice over the next little while too.
I might actually upload a video of my performance to my channel. Thanks for subscribing by the way!

You wouldn’t in the winter.
(This year we got hit with two and a half feet of snow)
Lots of snow storms, blizzards, etc. You actually get a proper winter here in CT which is actually slightly longer than summer.
Personally, I hate the winter and would love to move to a climate that is consistently warm throughout the year. Well, I hate CT in general - too overpopulated (we are the fourth most dense state in the US).
Blazing saddles?
April, Mother’s milk made me ill.
Perhaps the cause of the relationship with Mama Plant. ![]()
Aw,** Apes**. Squeakers is such a cute nickname!
Flying to visit my sister tomorrow. Feeling like I’m going in six different directions, but mostly holding still in the middle.
GMTA! That’s the first thing I thought of - right down to hearing Harvey Korman saying it. ![]()
Good morning! Early chores are done and I’m enjoying a meh-nanner-muffin topped with pecan butter, which mitigates some of the meh. Today’s supposed to be nice and I’ll spend at least part of it mowing the lawn and weeding a few garden beds. With all the deck work, my gardens have been neglected.
No other plans for today - I’ll just wing it.
Happy Sunday!!
Happy Sunday, everyone! I had a nice lie-in this morning, for a change the cats weren’t plaguing me too early for food. My first job was to start off some bread dough so that’s been kneaded into submission and is now sitting in a bowl doing the rising thing. I am drinking tea and messing on the intertoobz, I might do the vacuuming next and get that out of the way, then I will making something for lunch and spending an hour or two in the garden chopping stuff down.
Tonight’s dinner will be steak and chips, followed by an evening of vegging on the sofa. There may be half an hour’s Wii time and a bath, or there may just be the bath. Sadly there will not be any margaritas or martinis in my day, and it’s back to irk tomorrow so I need a clear head for that.
I heard on Friday that I will be getting company in the office again on Tuesday. My current roomie has been off sick following minor surgery to remove a lump from her leg, she thought she’d only be off for a few days but it now looks like she will be off for a couple of week at least. So now we are in the silly position of hiring a temp for two weeks, to cover for a temp.
Blurf.
Yesterday was mostly spent down the park drinkin’ cider, or, as it’s locally pronounced, ‘zoider’. What most of you would call ‘hard cider’, but as we just call apple juice ‘apple juice’, it’s just cider. Or zoider, if you live here.
The weather’s supposed to be breaking in a few days, so I’m trying to make the most of the sun while it’s here, as it may not be back for ages; hence, this afternoon will also hopefully be spent down there, though I may switch to beer for a change today. Decisions, decisions…
Apes, get busy with Apelet #4 so you can have Bubble and Squeak.
Mebbe it will be dry enough today to mow the yahd and weed the gahden.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN Actually been up a while but just futzin’ around. Everyone else is still abed the lazy slugs. 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out and hyoooooooomid! Today’s high is predicted to be ONLY 84 with rain. This may well be true as there is a big band of green headed this way from Alabammy. Fine by me because outside of deheathenization I have no big plans for the day.
Yeller have a safe trip!
Anon (I know we came up with a nickname but for the life of me I can’t remember it right now) hope your recital goes well. I actually like the violin. Well, violin music bein’ as I don’t play the violin but it makes purty music.
Nuts yeah we do differentiate between cider and hard cider here. Truth be told I’m not a big fan of either. Beer, however, is good so I vote for switchin’ to beer.
Ok, I need to get in gear and purtify for deheathenization and ush duties. I believe I shall go get me a bizkit for brekkies just cause I can.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Happy Sunday!
It’s 71 degrees with a predicted high of 82 and looks gloomy.
Out with friends was the a good idea even though I spent too much money. I picked up my other best friend and took her with me so my two best friends got to meet for the first time. Now I just have to get my other two friends and the 5 of us can go get into some trouble. Well three of us can get into trouble, the other two would probably just sit back, laugh and get the cash out to pay our bail.
I still have a headache from laughing so much, and they say I am the crazy one.
We ended up at JoesCrabShack and I asked if we could sit on the patio? at the picnic tables and it started cooling off and we got a beautiful breeze.
I got one of their pina coladas which is served in a pineapple and topped with a slice of pineapple, whipped cream and a cherry. It was made with fresh pineapple juice and was yummy and strong. Then they gave to bill to me to figure out who owes what, like I was in any condition to do the math.
We got dessert to go and I got some kind of s’mores thingie which is a few graham crackers on the bottom, then super moist, super rich chocolate cake, then a hershey bar, then some more graham crackes, then some marshmallows and topped with chocolate syrup.
Sah-son took two bites and said “that’s enough sugar for the day” I managed about 4 bites, but I skipped the marshmallows. The is a desert that would easily satisfy 5-6 chocoholics.
Their entrees were good, mine wasn’t. it was supposed to be like jambalaya only with pasta instead of rice. Waaaaaayyyyyyy too salty and watery, pasta doesn’t suck up juice like rice does.
So I see out my window that somebody is out there fixing the power/cable/phone line that was sagging. Yesterday I had to duck under it to get to my truck. This morning I would have had to and do the limbo under it and the neighbor wouldn’t have been able to get his cars out of the driveway. Now I know why he had his recycle bins upside down at the end of his driveway last night.
Today I will have to irk irk irk to make up for not irking yesterday although part of me just wants to say f’it and take the whole weekend off. It will feel good today but it won’t feel good when I get a pitiful pay on Friday.
Whatshername.
