In what year was the Rose Bowl NOT played in California, for what reason, where was it played, who played, what was the score, and who won?
Mine isn’t original to me—I just wanna know.
Heard/read it many years ago----Have forgotten all but one. I think I will recognize the other two.
What three FICTIONAL characters, in their histories, have won the U.S. CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR for bravery “above and beyond” etc?
Think TV, comics and/or pulp fiction.
1942, Durham NC, due to the attack on Pearl Harbor a month earlier.
Sorry, but I don’t know who played. I’m not a big college football fan.

1942, Pearl Harbor attack, Durham, NC (Duke University), Duke vs. Oregon Beavers, 7-0, Oregon won. First points scored against the Duke team ALL YEAR!
Kinda makes up for the fact they forgot to win any games last year. Kinda.
Here’s one for the music people…
What was the first cover song Nirvana ever recorded?
For bonus points…what was the name of the original artist? Small hint, the song in question was not their big hit but another was and IT was covered by a girl group in the mid Eighties.
Gunny Highway, Heartbreak Ridge, or do movies not count?
Muhammad Ali
Jimmy Carter
Jamie Farr
Jackie Gleason
Dick Gregory
William Shatner
They all claim to have experienced something quite out of the ordinary. What?
IIRC Captain Kirk and Doc Savage have it.
Nope. Sorry.
Question remains unanswered. Anyone?

They all claim to have seen a UFO, right?
My turn.
At the beginning of “Who Wrote The Book of Love?” by The Moonglows there’s an a capella beginning followed by a thump. What is that thump?

I’d have to say either I feel fine or All you need is Love by the Beatles.
Robot Arm says: Moonstruck. These are movies in which the Oscars for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress were for performances in the same film.
WRONG! You forgot the very important part of my post: These four films have one unique thing in common that no other movie in history can claim. This makes your answer wrong, since there are other movies that also won Lead & Supporting Actress Oscars (including Jezebel, The Miracle Worker, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and Mrs. Miniver)
Trust me, this is much harder than that.

Would that be Turn Around, originally done by Devo?

UncleBill gave us Gunny Highway, and lurkernomore gave us Captain Kirk and Doc Savage.
I’ll add Forrest Gump and the main character from Harry Chapin’s song “Bummer.”
That’s more than three who won the medal. Maybe we should narrow the question down a bit?
And let’s not forget Raymond Shaw in The Manchurian Candidate.
What do these former major leaguers all have in common?
Hank Aaron
Babe Ruth
Willie Mays
Dizzy Dean
Dwight Gooden
Darryl Strawberry
Cy Young
… and just to make it harder, make sure that the following players do not fit the rule:
Lance Johnson
Dave Kingman
Rafael Santana
Diego Segui
All of the above are the all-time leaders of some category:
Hank Aaron-Homeruns
CY Young-Wins
Darryl Strawberry-Most Times Suspended…

Actually… no. Steve Howe was suspended more times than Darryl.

The still unanswered questions (in order of presentation) are:
By Archive Guy
Gone With the Wind
A Streetcar Named Desire
Network
???
These four films have one unique thing in common that no other movie in history can claim. It is an ultra-specific answer, but one that does not require having actually seen all four films. What is the missing film?

I’ll take a shot at the Al Benton question.
The only pitcher to face in his career both Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle.
Backup response: the only pitcher to give up homers to Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle.
