Now to be fair, this was the 1st time(and the last time) I forgot to set the appointment ahead of time. And the “What we did list” ran 3 pages. I’m more irked at myself than Manny, Moe, and Jack.

Today I shall irk from home. I do need to check up on some folks locally so I will be out and about for a bit. This actually does work out a little better for me. I can do what I need this mornin’, then come back to da cave to change into funeral attire. Steve’s funeral is at two this afternoon over to the church house. He will be buried, I believe I mentioned this earlier, in the cemetary where his family has plots, which is out this way. Less than two mile from da cave actually. So, I shall go to the graveside for the burial. 
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Even irkin’ from da cave requires some semblance of cleanliness.

I blurfed later than I should’ve this morning due to problems with my alarm, but oh well. I have to go to the employment office, though I can do that any time, though I’d like to get there early.

I’m all irk purtified. Also dressed presentably for the public. Go Me! I shall venture forth around eightish to get done what needs doin’ out and about. The sooner I get it over with the better.

My parental units shall depart from Dunn, NC shortly and arrive at Jynxster Headquarters around 1200. I left the house in much disarray. Mr. Jynxster promised to clean it all. How I love that man! I also have my annual review today, only 4 months late. Am slightly nervous. Not that I am not the awsome at my job, its just well, you know…review with da boss man and all!
Nope, no tower in this one, but it does have a Murder Basement. Roomie’s Boyfriend is writing a whole musical to present it in its best light. 
The house was built in 1850, and the basement is all the original brick and granite slabs, divided into all these little rooms. Think the first season of American Horror Story or pretty much any dark scary basement horror movie. It’s amazing.
There is also an restaurant-quality stainless-steel stove (which means I should learn how to cook), a secret staircase from the master bedroom to the kitchen, and a hidden, finished attic with skylights.
Last night we had another painting estimate done, this time by a very handsome gentleman who found the house and the door without a problem, and gave us what I think is a really good price for our problematic house. So painting begins on Tuesday!

Nice fisheses Apes! Hopefully I should be able to get my tank lookin’ good enough for photography soon. I think doing a big tank clean up shall be part of today’s plans- it’s got loads of algae on the glass right now (I didn’t realise how much sunlight it’d get in the place it’s in), which isn’t a problem for the fish of course, but it doesn’t look nice.

Don’t know what I am doing today besides irk. Irk has been more irksome than usual.
I’ve picked out a few more houses to see but the realtor is busy all weekend. It sucks because now he is getting busy and it’ll be harder to find time to look.
Well, that didn’t take too long. Got done with what I needed to get done and back at da cave! YAY!!! Out of curiosity, I called down to the orifice to see if the electricals were workin’ or not. No power to the outlets back in my space until sometime this afternoon I’m told. So, right decision to irk from da cave today.

The goal for today is staying awake. Did not sleep last night because my phone alarm went stupid. I’m drinking straight-up caffeinated coffee today, not my usual decaf or half-caf.

Some people at irk has too much time on their hands (Hey, that would make a good song, donchathink?). There was some celebration about two weeks ago, including some balloons. Then someone took the balloons & taped them all together. Then someone drew a face on the first one. Then it moved a bit. Then someone brought in a large (4-5’) branch & wrapped the balloon creature in TP around the branch. Today, it has finished its metamorphosis & has sprouted wings & turned into a bu-fit-al flutterby.

I think, and gotti, you could maybe back me up on this, I’ve seen this in a certain type of video. 
I am very surprised at the lack of whineage today. Always some problems on payday it seems. Today, however, nuttin’ at all so far. Of course, I’ve just doomed myself to constant whineage the rest of the day by postin’ this.
Soonish I shall have to purtify for funeralization. The family is receiving from one until two this afternoon and I promised to show up to do ushlike things bein’ as there will be lots of folks that are not whiskypalians show up and also to make sure of things like no one sits in pews marked for family. You’d think the markers on the pews that say reserved for family would give a clue, but folks will betake themselves to sit down in “their pew” anyways. Those people are Whiskypalians who you’d think would know better. However, that always seems to happen.
In other news, although it’s cool outside, it’s kinda pleasant.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Swampy, hope the funeralising went as well as those things can, and everybody behaved themselves.
I’ve had a tremendously boring week at irk, largely because there’s almost no irk to do at all. I had two jobs today and was all finished by 10am, nothing else to do until it was time to send out the one single letter for the afternoon post at 3pm…then sit around until 4pm finishing time. Luckily I have spoken to agency lady and she has a job back on campus for me on 12th March. Thus I will leave the probation service on Thursday next week, go to Scotland for a long birthday weekend, have the following Tuesday off and then start my next job on the Wednesday. All good stuff, as far as I’m concerned.
Time for a long soaky bath now, and then leftover chilli for dinner. Yum!
