However, let me state that I thought you were doing very well in your post, raising some very valid points–UNTIL you started quoting the bible.
I can only speak for myself when I say that I am not offended by the bible because it represents religion or god’s word or whatever you want think it is. It offends me because many seemingly intelligent people cannot make a point without using it as a crutch for what they’re saying. Like I said…this is just one shmuck’s opinion here, but tell me what YOU think. Don’t read the bible to me.

My advice to you, Sandy, is that you discontinue any form of response to this trouble maker, tom. When he is not twisting what you’re saying he is morlaizing about your views. You do not have to defend yourself to him on any issue. He, as you will soon notice, just sits back and passes judgement on everyone else posts. He is, in effect, the board pseudo-moralist.
John, I do not need to validate my existence by displaying my photos and personal information all over the internet. I am not hiding, I simply prefer to maintain my privacy. (Besides, if the marshalls found out I was posting this much it would jeopardize my status in the program.)

However, you continue to post the lie that you are not the same person who posted as Cyberian54 and Optamissed on AOL, and it happens that your pathetic need for validation has caused you to publicly post nearly identical information about yourself in several guises. That is not my problem.
You have very clearly identified yourself as the same person through your posting style. (A serious inability to read with comprehension would, of course, prevent you from being aware of this.) Since I have posted with exactly one sign-on in every MB and NG for well over two years, there is no issue rgarding who I might be. Since I am not in the habit of posting for the specific purpose of insulting people, denigrating their beliefs, or arguing to deny them consideration as humans, I have no need to run from one false identity to another.

Thank you for not getting rude with me, I do have a heart and as stupid as it may sound, it hurts when people personally attack me. Sorry about the Bible quote didnt mean to offend you. My point was that the Bible is a good parenting Book. I do believe in God, I do believe in teaching My kids the Bible, and WE go to church. Do I think That this is the answer to all of the worlds problems…maybe not but I dont see where it hurts. Raising two kids myself, it is very hard. They come to a point where they think for themselves and parents are totally not cool. I know being a kid myself long ago.
But I always respected one of my family members very much, my grandfather who is a preacher. He and God kept me out of trouble. My point is kids need something whether a strong family unit or a Higher authoritive figure who they care enough to do what is right.
Nurlman, as noted above, I am simply not eager, in my normal posting, to yell troll! or sock puppet! too hastily. I am not denying the likelihood, I simply do not choose to jump on the issue.
In reference to the points brought up this morning, for example:
The exclamation point is part of Ms. Clinton’s campaign signature and it has been commented upon in the national media.
“Nice to meet you Sandy.” could easily be a simple case of an omitted comma in a self-referential introduction.
The “meds” comment is in reference to a remark that Sandycane made to me in John’s Hillary! thread.
At this point, I am not willing to condemn on this level of circumstantial evidence. It is not going to harm me to have been consevatively in error, so I do not feel a need to arrive at a conclusion immediately.
(Cyberian54/Optamissed/JohnJohn, of course, is a different matter as I have had the ugliness of his personality thrust onto my screen for two years. I have already been cautious and there has not been any possibility of error for a long time.)
Well, since you have insisted so nicely, here is an example of what has endeared you to so many people, John. On the other thread I mentioned your habit of insulting people for being “gay” or “Jewish” (I could have added “attacking them without provocation” but we’ll see how this plays out). The following is taken from the old AOL/SDMB. The scene is Christmas Day. One thread has been started for the specific purpose of wishing each other well. jon/BeLogical (who had, occasionally, challenged various Christian beliefs from a logical perspective) mentioned having to work, Cyb responded by mocking Jon’s name and claiming that Jon was Jewish.
Melis Challenged Cyb on his insult:
Cyb replied (with typical aplomb)
Batgrrrl responded that Jon might like to spend the day with his family, to which Cyb replied:
Jon posted again. pointing out that he was not Jewish.
To which Cyb replied:
Ian and Cyb then exchanged a few barbs with Ian refering to his own Christianity and the shame it brings him to have Cyb associated with Christianity, to which Cyb replies:
Cyb also went on for the hat trick, attacking Melis/Kiltgrrrrl and Batgrrrl, with lewd comments, but I think I’ve C&P’d enough of the sort of thing that Cyb did to endear himself to us all. (Merry Christmas, indeed.)

Tom, I don’t understand what you mean by a two digit range. We don’t have a large minority population in our school. It is only about 20%. Still, that is enough to cause too many problems. We have kids that are rednecks and kids that are proud of being black. If you put two people like in a room with nobody else you would have problems. The gangs aren’t like the gangs in big cities but the kids in the gangs from the big cities came out here and recruited. As least that is what I’m told. They aren’t allowed to wear their colors, but they still make sign motions with their hands and talk big about being in the gangs, maybe they’re making it up. I would be happy if they were, but I am not about to check them out by following them around to see if they are lying or not. Keeping your distance from them is the best way to stay out of trouble. I am sorry to hear this about John John, but what I saw the others do to him was MUCH worse in my mind. You seem like a nice man, but I don’t want to get in the middle of this. As far as the things he said, they were three years ago. People do change. He has been nice to me and until that changes I will be nice to him, same goes for everyone. I am sorry that others aren’t more openminded about this but evereyone is free to so as they like, it’s a free country. Thank you for explaining to me why people thought I was him. It makes a lot more sense now, and so do you. Andros was right and so were you about my missed comma.

“Sandy”, how long have you been lurking? How many other threads not related to John John have you posted to (besides this charming little thread that you opened)? Do you ever plan on going anywhere outside of the Pit? It isn’t too common for someone new to start in the Pit and stay in the Pit, especially if they don’t have anything particularly bad to say. How long are you going to follow John John around and compliment him on everything that he says? How long are you going to pretend to be in highschool? You sound like a 60 year old man trying his best to act like what a 17 year old girl would act like. It’s really rather pathetic.
