I can't wait to hear from the fertility doctor's office...

At the same time there are many medical conditions that cause infertility that should be treated.

Take endometriosis. Endo can cause serious and debilitating pain as well as infertility. Should it go untreated because it is linked to infertility? Should a woman be denied a laparosopy because it may help her have a baby?

Or what about polycystic ovarian syndrome? Symptoms of that can include weight gain, hypertension, insulin resistance and horrible pelvic pain. Should those symptoms go untreated?

Pregnancy itself can also health benefits for women. Having children means having fewer menstrual periods. That is linked with a reduction in the risk of ovarian cancer. Breastfeeding a baby can bring all sorts of long term medical benefits to the mother including decreasing her risk of breast cancer and type two diabetes.

What other medical conditions do you propose to leave untreated? Should we stop treating impotence? Afterall, it’s not like a man needs an erection. Viagra clearly should not be covered. We could also stop covering birth control pills. Women don’t need sex.

You’ve obviously stumbled out from the “analogies that don’t make sense” universe that Pink came from.

Wtf?

This thread may cure me from ever visiting the Pit again. It’s getting way too bizarre in here.

And we’re currently between election seasons. Wait about six months…
