I challenge the Dope to answer this poll with the required percentages

Personally, I wanted to vote zero percent, but that option wasn’t offered. Harumph.

There are now six votes for five percent, which means we need 120 votes now.

5% - 6
10% - 12
15% - 18
20% - 24
50% - 60

:frowning: A party pooper voted ‘5%’ again. Re-math.

This is why the selections should be visible to the public.

They are if you hit view results first. That’s how I knew to vote for 15%

No, I mean so we can see who voted for what.

Huh. I voted before reading the thread because I thought voting blind was the point.

I voted for 10% which put it at 12. I almost voted for 5%, thinking that most people would avoid it since it has the lowest percentage, but then I realized that many people would vote for 5% for that exact reason.

Are people voting blind? I did, and I was shocked at how close the results are.

Voted with a random number generator. It came up 0.2919, so I voted for 50.

After seeing the results, it looks like I helped!

15% was lagging behind so I voted for it and now it is at 14.52%. I feel like I helped.

I also voted for 15%. Bumped it up a little.

10 people have voted for 5%. You guys are loony. Now we need 200 votes to reach our goal. sigh

STOP VOTING FOR 5% PEOPLE. For every person that votes 5%, it adds another 20 needed votes.

This thread may be the best example in history of why anarchism is unworkable.

Damn, I thought the goal was to vote blindly, trying to gauge what everyone else would have voted, and thus figuring out the correct way to vote*, then after voting, I was astonished how close we were… Trying to reach an agreement before voting is no fun IMO. Then everybody could just as well look at the results and vote accordingly.

*I couldn’t, so I used random.org

I chose 20% which is at 20.41% now. Surprisingly, it’s really close on all counts. Oh, and I did vote blindly; but see others didn’t – that explains it.

Yes, I voted blind, and I was very surprised at how close it was too.

Like sachertorte almost did, I voted 5% because I thought no one else would. Sorry guys!

If we want to make it happen at 200 votes, it’s very easy to figure out exactly how many votes each percentage needs and vote for a number only if it hasn’t reached its max yet.
When a percentage gets close to its max, “lock” it by posting that you’re going to cast your vote and then unlock by posting that you voted.

Of course, most people will cast their vote before reading this.

I did my part: I rolled a 20-sided die, and voted the way it indicated. If we all did that, the numbers would probably tally pretty closely.

15% put it at 15.12%

We did this a few years ago (trying to get them all even, without looking first). Someone should try to find it.

I Randomly Picked 20…now at 19.79%

Do I win?
