It’s in the 90s here. I am stuck at a store with a load of perishables, a passenger, a broken-down car, and a class I’m going to miss tonight. DH’s “help” completely ignores several parts of this. It’s yet another transmission problem with this POS car. The shop told me they can’t work it in until Monday. They told DH first thing tomorrow.
Today was a weird day at irk. It was pretty dead this morning, which isn’t uncommon at month end. Then this afternoon, I got 15 inventory variances from a new project thatshould have been finished by 4 pm. Fortunately, my boss gave me a grace day for them, since the project engineer works evenings and I had to get information from him.
I stopped at BB&B after irk for a CO2 cartridgefor the SodaStream ™. I was almost completely backed out of my parking space, a LOL hit me. Fortunately, there was minimal damage to the twuck and no damage to her car, but Yikes! look in your mirror before flooring that old Altima.
**FCD **is staying home tomorrow. In the afternoon, some of his coworkers are coming over to learn to weld. In the morning, we’re taking trash and recycling. Yep, we know how to live it up!
Worked, walked gordie, had a thunderstorm go by. Now it’s hockey time.
You’re confused. I had the dog’s balls removed, I’m buying balls for the truck, and as for me, [Seinfeld]they’re real…and they’re spectacular[/Seinfeld]. And glad you and your truck are OK after being LOLed.
If you’re OK after about 12 hours, you’re in the clear.
There are some days all the chocolate in Hershey PA can’t fix.
Thanks for all the hugs; they are felt. This one rocked me a little more than most - even some relatives I could think of. He was a great friend and a great person and we just liked being around each other. He was one of those kind of friends who you saw even when you didn’t have a reason - just wanted to sit and visit. He will be missed by a ton of people; he left a lot of good and good memories behind. And we’ll always have them.
{{{Nettie}}} and I’d pass the chocolate if I had some. There is a little peanut butter filled chocolate rabbit here but I’m not that desperate yet.

There are days when I truly believe my son was dropped off by aliens. He is so ooky about blood and such. I mopped the kitchen floor yesterday after the poor dog left bloody paw prints all over and my son found one little tiny speck of blood and you’d think the world is coming to an end.
Are you hiring? Iffn my cow-orkers brought me a sexy lil thang I wouldn’t care about not eatin’!
As for my day at irk, I was called into Great-grandboss’s office this morning & told to GET OUT!
Just for the day though, because of what was going on nearby. I twasn’t fired. <phew>
I had a meeting in the building & floor I used to work in at my first job about a BFD event. When I irked there, we had the whole floor, now there are at least 4 companies on that floor. When I walked into their orifice, I was looking around, trying to figure out where I was, as it what dept used to occupy where I was standing. If it twasn’t for this meeting, I coulda had lunch at home, but I’m glad I went.
Other than that, my brain is toast. (Shaddup, flytrap, doggio, VBob, Mooommm, ruble, swampy, etc.!!!)
Last night in Lost Wages. Actually walked onto the casino floor tonight. and turned around walked off. I’m just not ready to light my money on fire. Got too many bills.
They’ve been scheduling meetings from 8 am to about 10 or 11 pm every night. Plus I don’t sleep well when I’m travelling anyway. Last night (or this morning more properly) I did’t fall asleep until about 5 am. I thought I’d get up for my 8 am meeting. Nope. Week without sleep caught up with me. Woke up around 3. PM. So I worked in my room until my 6 pm meeting, then went to my 9 pm meeting.
We’ve eaten chicken and couscous at every meal too. Bleah. I am so. tired. of. chicken. and I don’t think I liked couscous in the first place. My last meeting just finished and I’m ordering room service. Ham and eggs. I don’t care what anyone says.
The Mayweather fight is here this week, so tonight we’ve been seeing all kinds of people who are obviously celebrities walking around. I know none of them. The bodyguards and hordes of fans give them away.
**sunny **- I don’t get the appeal of gambling at all. On my cruises, I walked thru the casinos on the ships, watching people feed money into the machines. One time, we decided we’d blow $10 each (or was it $20? I don’t know) on slots. It was just too random - I didn’t enjoy it at all. Each to his own, I guess.
With **FCD **taking today off, we could have slept in. Except for one bratty feline and an equally bratty canine. I locked **FCD **in the bedroom so he could at least get some rest. It rained overnight and I think it was raining a wee bit when I let Higgs out, but I didn’t care enough to step outside myself. It is dreary looking, tho. And from the looks of weather radar, more rain is on the way. rah.
We shall see what the day brings. I may get some studio time. Or not. Who can say.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a coolish and foggy 52 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75 and sunny for the day. Today’s big project is the makin’’ of coleslaw for Sunday and that’s about it.
{{{Nettie}}} here’s to a better today.
[zombie] TOOOOOAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSST!!![/zombie]
sunny yay for gettin’ to go home today!
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. I suppose I should also purtify. I wouldn’t want to traumatize the coleslaw, now would I?
There were a couple of people I knew could (not?) be trusted about making smart (dumb?) assed replies to that line. You were one of those people.
You shall be slapped with a wet [del]trout[/del] shark!
Imma thinkin’ a hammerhead shark!!!
I got a LinkedIn (for those that don’t know what it is, it’s a professional Farcebook, to keep up with work contacts & network) update this morning.
___ is having a birthday today. However, I’m not sure if he’s out yet. Not sexual preference out, but back down the river out.
(White-collar theft/embezzlement)
Up, caffeinated, off to work. It’s cool and rainy out.
Well, it would attract a vegetarian zombie, because they want to eat your GRAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSS!
sunny, Mooooommmmm, last time I was in Vegas, I went on an 8 hour pub crawl on the Strip, and ended up with more money than I started with. And yay for coming home.
I am so looking forward to semester break and the opportunity to spend some serious quality time with my pillow. I am NOT getting enough sleep lately.
DH is totally in charge of the car situation right now, since I just can’t handle that on top of the rest of the current load, and he knows more about cars than I do anyway.
At least I got some quality kitty snuggle/purr time before I pried out of bed.
