I coulda been a STAR in the MMP!!

Detailed brought me Burger Thang for lunch and it made me feel sick a couple of hours after I ate it. Strike another off the List o’ Places Where I Will Eat. Then he tried to get me to go to the company pic-a-nic tomorrow afternoon. Detailed, honey, love you bunches but if I wanted to go to the pic-a-nic I would’ve signed up for it. Maybe I can still be nauseous from the Burger Thang.

Then I went to the library and they did not have the second season of Arrested Development on the shelf. But they did have Fawlty Towers, so guess what I’m watching tonight!

I need to find a way to the library to work on this damn paper. Good news is that DH was easily able to reconnect something called a “linkage” that had come disconnnected. Bad news is we now have a radiator leak and DH has regressed to toddlerhood as far as answering even the simplest question.

A friend and I were goin’ to Cape Cod for happy hour but we couldn’t find a self-serve jet fuel station and we certainly were not goin’ to pay for full-service when we are perfectly able to pump fuel ourselves. Oh the bother!

**swampy **- you could just put on a cape and eat some cod. You’re welcome!

**FCD **had a hankerin’ for fried chicken, so we went to KFC. I got a pot pie - they’ve sure shrunk the size of the pot, but I wasn’t too hungry, so it was plenty for me. The sun peeked out a wee bit, and we’ve got a week of 70s and 80s ahead, but it’s chilly and it could drop into the 40s tonight. Weird weather continues.

Envy me. I am about to head out for the first evening of the Godzilla and Friends Film Festival, here in Topeka!

<checks pulse> Wow! That’s a relief! For a moment I thought you knew something I didn’t!

Doing a memorial service in the AM and then going to an amusement park. That combination may seem strange to many people but for us its normal. Work was routine which is just what I needed for today.

Quick MOOM ----- have someone in Georgia check the basement for pods. Aliens have replaced Swampy with a cleverly disguised copy!

Actually, dear heart, I know what you mean and I’ve been there myself. But what kind of a Mumper would I be if I didn’t pick on you a little?

Consider yourself envied you lucky bastard! Best I ever did was three different Invisible Man films (the original, The Invisible Agent and The Invisible Girl) all on the big screen and Plan 9 From Outer Space at a drive-in event.

I think it’s time to read. MWAH!

Busy and productive at work. Stopped and got beerverages for hockey this weekend. Looks like I gotta buy a remote for the found TV. Damn, this thing might end up costing me tens of dollars.

:frowning:

Woooo! I miss the local independent station that did wall to wall Godzilla and kung-fu flicks on the weekend.

ruble, sound normal to me. And this year’s pub crawl will be dedicated to a couple of Convention Peeps who died this year(and they would have wanted it that way.)

Have you tried Questia?
It’s an online research library.

You silly old bear!

I will undoubtedly be awakened by the animals at an un-g-gdly hour, eight or nine.
I shall go to the grocery store before Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) gets home from her dark, Satanic mill, to buy basic stuff for the kitchen, beer and bacon.
Do y’all reckon I should buy anything else? Butter, eggs, that sort of thing?

I’d never even heard of this before. Thanks!

ETA: On looking at their prices, I’m a touch concerned about my budget. Must think this over.

flytrap, if you buy beer and bacon, what more do you need?

Somebody knows their William Blake.

69° for a high today, but it’s only 41° out there right now…on about 3 hrs sleep, too. :frowning:
The best part of Moanday mornings is that I can sleep in & go to irk.

This business of getting less than 6 hours of sleep a night has got to stop! I woke around 4:30 and deliberately stayed in bed for more than an hour trying to fall back to sleep. No dice. So I gave up lest I disturb my sweetie. I’s tahred!!!

43° this morning and the furnace came on!!! In MAY!!! Not amused. Not at all amused.

I think I’ll get some caffeine and grump to myself. Happy Saturday, indeed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 50 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 80 and sunny for the day. Nice!

Today shall include the mowage of the back forty over to the church house. While I am there, I shall also make two gallons each of sweet and unsweet tea for tomorrow’s brunch. Then I shall arrive back at da cave and commence gettin’ stuff ready for folks comin’ over around four to hang for a while. OYKW shall man the grill and grill up poke tenderloins. I shall do baked veggies, make cornbread muffins, make a green sallit and make more brownies. All that, believe it or not, will not take more than an hour and a half to get done. We shall have cocktails and an early dindin. We shall also dine al fresco as the back porch is all clean and pollen free. Oh and we get to put together chikin sallit sammiches for tomorrow this evenin’.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then it’s purtify a bit and head over to the church house. Bzzy day!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

I have a (non) drinking problem.

I went to grab a soda to take with me, because caffeine. It was the last one in the fridge & I had the stuff I was carrying in one hand, so I put that in the car, then put another 12-pack in the fridge & ended up walking out w/of both the cold can & my boots. :smack: (I was wearing shoes, but needed my SK’s to go with me) came back to get them, but the unopened can is still in the car.
I need a nap!

Up and caffeinted. Off today. I shall clean the apartment between sporting events.

Coffee.

Happy Saturday!

It’s supposed to get up to 73 today and then stay warmer.
I’m turning the heat off today, for the third time this year, but this time it is staying off until October.

I was up too early and feel like hell
