Classic example of the artist not making exactly what they wanted, but everyone else appreciating what the artist did make.

I’ve made one piece and the most trouble I had was getting the solder to spread out nice and smooth. I may try it again, which is more than I can say for stonecarving.
Perhaps your iron was too hot or too cold. The heat index is fairly narrow. I have an article that tells everything one needs to know about soldering. I’ll see if I cn find it on line.
