I’ve been working on a piece of stained glass for about 2 weeks.
Today I did all the foiling and decided to solder it. I heard the sun crack as soon as I touched it with the soldering iron. 
I don’t have any more of that glass so I’m not sure what I’ll do now.
I also didn’t notice the pieces in one corner weren’t lined up right so I’ll have to take it apart anyway,
I’m going to bed.
How did it crack, one or lots of little bits? Cleanly? Perhaps do the sun as multiple parts?

Cool hobby! I dabbled in it in college and would love to do it again.
The idea about doing the sun in multiple parts is good. You might have an opportunity to “re-think” the sun in some other way…

The Japanese repair flaws with gold (to show it’s resilience/character.) You’re already golden.
Actually Super Glue works pretty well.
It’s not cracked all they way through. It barely shows from the front, so I’ll super glue the back and hope for the best.
Now the frustration is taking apart the pieces that I didn’t notice had moved. It just means rewashing and refoiling. Foiling is a pain in my thumb.

I have it taken apart. The problem was one piece of Saturn that was backward. The color was the same on both sides and it almost fit either way.
I will take pictures when I’m done.
It’s finished, but my phone died. I’ll take pictures after it charges.

I’m not as happy as I could be, but Hubby says it looks great.
I’ll start another project in the next day or so.
And MacTech, yes there is. There’s a BIG white one on the back where the Super Glue is. 
That’s reeeaaaaallllllyyyy nice work! I dabbled a bit in stained glass at least 30 years ago and found it to be “difficult at best.”
