Politico has a major story on Schock. He needs to get everything out there for any chance to survive. This Chinese water torture of a new expense revealed every day keeps this story dragging on.

Alcee Hastings was a federal judge, who was one the very few judges who have been impeached and removed by Congress* in the last couple hundred years.
Where is he now? In the House of Representatives. Good job, democrat voters.

Except he only objected to hate crime laws against gays not regarding people targeted for race, nationality or religion.
Also, you’ll notice he voted against repealing “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and allowing gays to serve openly in the military.

Wow, I didn’t see that coming. I wonder if it was only a matter of time before the public found out about something even worse than his spending habits.
There has to be a special election. Representatives can’t be appointed. The district is solid Republican, but I have no idea who will run.
Ray LaHood’s son Darin has announced his intention to run. He is currently an Illinois state senator.
Does anyone know anything about him? His reputation for integrity and/or competence? What kind of Pub he is, moderate or far-RW?
Looks like the Feds are sniffing around Schock now. Resigning might not have been enough.
