Stating that someone’s hurtful hypocrisy deserves exposure is being an ass?
Anyway, Schock’s father insists he isn’t gay, despite all the appearance of fabulousness. So that’s that.

He’s not a Congressman anymore! ![]()
An attempt to publically out someone is being an ass. A person’s sexual orientation is nobody’s business but his or her own.
His resignation isn’t effective until March 31st.
Tell that to Congressmen who have consistently voted for every gay-bashing bill that’s come up. Like Schock, for instance, who is far from the first, and would be far from the first to come out later.
Exactly which “gay-bashing” bills has Congressman Schock voted for? Cite, please.

So the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 is gay-bashing? That’s a stretch, even for your side. :dubious:
Read the title of each bill and figure it out yourself.
That IS the title of the bill.
Heh.
Was I the only one who smirked at the use of the phrase “a companion.”
Are we back in junior high?
So you failed to notice who it “prohibits the use of funds in contravention of the Defense of Marriage Act”?
You’ll notice that Schock also voted against repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and also voted against amending the Federal Hate Crimes bill to include crimes where people were targeted due to their sexual orientation.
So yeah, he’s supported some fairly homophobic positions.
Hi Aaron! I love your abs! Totally vote for u!
Er… no.
I was thinking of the way and why media organizations used to use the phrase “longtime companion”.
Were you aware of it?
If so, I’ll be happy to help fight your ignorance since that’s the purpose of the message board.
The NDAA of 2012 passed the House 283-136, and the Senate by a vote of 86-13. And it was signed by President Obama.
Were all of those Representatives and Senators, and the President “gay-bashing”? Because that was the accusation in this thread.
Have all of those Reps & Senators been rumoured to be gay? Do they like to take showers with their boy pals while voting anti-gay? Is this a grand conspiracy you’ve uncovered? Are all Republicans accused of being anti-gay closet types? This is amazing! First I’ve heard of it! Those silly gays. They just go around making everyone gay!
Of course I am. Most often, I’ve encountered that in Obituaries, where the writer is trying to be discreet and respectful of everyone’s feelings.
The sophomoric use of the word companion in this context, and especially the juvenile smirking about it, is just wrong.
Your post is beyond ridiculous. Running coach posted a link that somehow seeks to tar Congressman Schock for his vote on NDAA. No mention of the 283 Reps, 86 Senators, and the President who also approved the same bill. This is nuts.
Is gay slander common? Or does it usually turn out to be true?
