I Don't Understand The MMP

and eventually, even those from the northeast and the PNW end up with southern accents

Yup, that is true…I can vouch for that.

Come on in, we really aren’t that scary.

<shoves LOUNE into the closet>

But it’s people you know! And that’s just it - when you feel like flirting they’re flirting but when someone is really sick there’s comfort and cookies and when you’re in a jam there’s all kinds of advice and you need only touch a topic to have people share their stories…

Is there something we should know? :dubious:

You mean outside of the fact thatI was physically abused in public? No.

Nope, nothing at all. <tries to look innocent>

Are you two sure you’re not a couple or something?

She’s an “or something”.

I’m a single.

Sure you would, kaiwik’s husband is a professional fisherman, welby went fishing this weekend, and I had fish for dinner last night.

The Europeans, too.

Zambini, you should join. swampbear can get you some free beer.

And I have only been fishing a handful of times in my life but had a wonderful time, and plan to go again. Last summer I caught my first fish; Carl.

I used to go fishing all the time when I was younger. Now it’s been about 10 years since I’ve been finishing. Used to go with my grandpa all the time, I loved that. I was grandpa’s girl, lol.

Hey…waitaminit…this is turning into a mini-MMP…

I’ve noticed.

Um…um…
Fresh fish!

I’m game if it’s cajun-style catfish.

Or tilapia.

Mmmm, tilapia.

broiled scallops in a lemon butter sauce

Scallops are one of the very few seafoods I simply don’t like. It’s the texture, really.

To the OP: Do you see what the MMp, is now? We’re making one here, just as we go along!

okay - seared wild Alaskan salmon, with a garlic dill sauce
speaking of fish-y - it’s pretty fishy that the OP hasn’t been back (or over in the big MMP) to say hi or whatever)

I agree on both counts!

I like the way the MMPers always welcome back the rare posters such as myself. I always read it but don’t often feel I have any worthwhile comments but when I do there’s always somebody to say hi and welcome back. 's nice.

I don’t really like fish. Cept for haddock or cod which I don’t eat much cos of over fishing. I had some thai fishcakes in amazingly good chilli sauce once and they were not bad but in general I am not a fan of fish whether they are fresh or fusty.
