Happy Moonday!
It’s a grey 28 degrees outside and supposed to rain.
Just as a warning, and maybe TMI
turn on the light before you pick up what appears to be a clump of dog hair.

Winning competitions is great Congrats Anaamika!
I went to a spectacular concert last night. I tell you - never in my life did I think I’d ever hear Rufus and Martha Wainwright singing Gounod’s “Ave Maria” to the accompaniment of both a classical organist and a DJ! It’s the kind of thing that happens only in Montreal.
I love my city.
I never expect to win anything. Thanks! And since we’re going downstate this weekend for Xmas, it will be useful.
Commies!
Godless commies in the MMP!
It’s raining here - no big surprise, since it had been promised. I’ve lunched and watched 3 NCIS episodes.
I read thru my FB and one of my sister’s friends was posting BS about chemtrails. It hurts not to shoot down the stupidity, but sis gets all pissed if I put facts counter to the idiocy of her and her friends. So I came here to bitch.
Now I’m going back to crochet and watch more NCIS. Teh stoopit - it burns!!!
I can’t take credit from Oscar — although to be honest he may have Lobachevskyed it himself.
Wvat? Ju mean dis isn’t der Marxist Morning Post???
Welp, it’s official: I’m staying home from charitable endeavors. My sinuses are a bit clearer, but I still have that tunnel vision where I don’t notice anything or anyone around me and that’s not a good condition to be driving in. Especially when I have to cross the Death Bridge to get to where I’m going.
The good news is I’ve been released from PT and I have my game plan set for the next three months.
Happy Moanday!
I have not yet begun to shop! Eeeeek! Off to Tar-jay and Costco with the throngs. Bevmo for some adult beverages. Stop the ride! I want a continuance!
Oh well. ::girds loins:: Off to battle.
And you were expecting Baptists?
Glad your mum is recuperating nicely, BooFae.
Congrats on the gas card, Anaamika. Like you, I never expect to win anything and am always pleasently surprised if I do.
Hope you’re feeling better soon, spaz.
Happy Festivus y’all!
’mika!!!
::tackle hug::
Thanks, everyone, but I didn’t make it up. I shamelessly stole it.
So, who’s got a problem with that? Come on, I’ll take all of youse on! Hey! Watch it! Don’t knock over the pole!
The day just gets better and better
Now the dog is sick.
I guess today is going to be clean up gross messes day.
Yay to Boofae’s mum getting better.
Yay to Anaamika winning a competition.
Thanks to Spazcat for letting us know about Lissla Lissar’s trouble. I don’t know if it will help, but I clicked through and bought her book. My wardrobe could use the help.
I almost got my stove completely clean. Still a few stubborn spots to go.
According to the internet weather pixies, we’ll have two days with no rain, but then rain Christmas Eve and Christmas. There will be fires in the fireplace.
Happy Festivus, all!
Otherwise, blurf.
Oof! * hugs back fiercely * Those are the bestest kinds of hugs!
I don’t mind saying, fellow MMPers, I am super excited for Christmas. Not to say that everything is hunky-dory over here in Mika Land, but I LOVE CHRISTMAS. It doesn’t hurt that this is my last working day of the year
and I don’t come back until the 5th. WOOT!
I read Lissa’s post about her mom getting out and Dad locking the door on her. It reminds me of a story about my grandma - in her last days, she managed to get out on her own. She wasn’t well supervised, living at home with one of her sons, and she went out barefoot and burned her feet on the pavement.
India doesn’t even have elder facilities (she was in Delhi). I mean, putting your parent in a home makes you the worst child who ever lived, which is pissy, because keeping them home isn’t always the best thing to do.
Yllaria, question of the day. I too have to clean my stove, but I don’t mind that. I also have to clean my bathtub. Any suggestions on making it easier? I hate doing it, so I wait longer than I should, so it gets harder and harder. I usually get the Comet-that-makes-you-vomit (that’s how we called it when I was a kid and it stuck I guess) and get on my knees and scrub-scrub-scrub but it is freakin exhausting. Is there a better way or is that it?
I made cole slaw. I crocheted. I just finished emptying the dishwasher and starting to fill it again. **FCD **should be home soon. It’s a dreary, rainy day. I’m OD-ing on NCIS - yay for Gibbs and eye candy!!
Working on some Christmas videos.
I took :eek:a nap! earlier and I am feeling better. I never take naps if I can help it, so you can tell I was tired.
I often try, and fail, to take naps. Maybe I get too much sleep at night (read: I wake up much later than I should,) or I just generally suck at getting to sleep. I envy people who are good at sleeping.
Howdy Y’all! I’m leavin’ the orifice shortly to go meet OYKW for an early dindin at Sonny’s. Ribs and baked beans sound good on a cool, dreary day. Anywho, after that he’s goin’ to his place to get packed up, which also involves doin’ laundry, poor thing. Ima head to da cave and get all warm and cozy. Tomorrow we shall meet for brekkie before he heads out to the wilds of West Alabammy and I go to irk.
I have skimmed through all the posts. I shall respond with the socially correct (or not so socially correct) responses later.
