Applied for unemployment insurance this morning, but I didn’t mention that I sometimes get money from my sheet music sales online. And I can be severely penalized if they catch me putting “misinformation” on my form. I filled out the form already though. I think maybe I should go in the office on Monday and tell them about my online activities.
Well, at least I got the form filled out, so there’s one thing less I have to do.
Doggio Sah-dog has never chased a laser pointer, even in his younger days. He has never been a playful dog and neither was the mastiff I had when he was a pup.
I remember one time I threw a tennis ball for my mastiff. He watched me and watched the ball fly. I told him to go get it and he looked up at me and said you threw it, you go get it
Honestly I don’t know what I will do if I ever have a normal dog. I am used to dogs that aren’t playful, don’t demand a lot of attention, and aren’t excitable.
Staying home sounds good though but my mother wants her whole family there. I don’t know what she is thinking.
Lunch has been ingested and 5 lap robes are in the washer being de-haired. Actually, the dryer will do a better job of getting the dog and cat hair off of them. Then I’ll bag 'em up to be delivered tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I’ve got another one started - I’ve got enough scraps to make a multi-colored chevron style. I think I’ll spend the afternoon with Netflix.
I’d much rather sing “The Hallelujah Chorus” with a couple hundred random strangers in a big music hall. I used to do that every year. I haven’t in ages
I ordered something via Amazon for DH two weeks ago. It was only availble from a Marketplace vendor, but the shipping was free. They promptly fire off a “Your order has shipped” message, but when I looked up the tracking, it’s been sitting somewhere for three days. Apparently, “shipped” means “We printed the UPS label, but can’t be bothered to put your thing in a box and give it to the UPS guy, so you won’t see it until probably New Year’s Eve.”
Now, my item is available for sale by Amazon itself, so I could have ordered it YESTERDAY and had it here today.
Work-wise, it’s dead, dead, dead, but someone has to be on hand in case anything goes boink.
I think I’m officially losing it. I took Higgs to get her nails trimmed (forgot I was supposed to do that) and when I got home, I opened the garage door, followed the dog in and let her in the house, and was confused because FCD’s keys were hanging on the hook. Then I heard a gawd-awful noise downstairs and noticed a light under the basement door.
Yep. He was home. I walked right past the car and it didn’t register. I’ve lost it.
Oh the other hand - MY SWEETIE’S HOME!!! And he got his first paycheck (henceforth, it’ll be direct deposit) but we can’t deposit it till Firday. No biggie - I wasn’t expecting him to get it till Monday since he wasn’t planning to go to work on Firday. So huzzah!
**gotti **- he was doing something with fiberglass for his motorcycle - grinding or sanding or something. The only noise I really pay attention to down there would be a blood-curdling scream, because I’m nice, dammit!
